Panna cotta, an Italian dessert literally meaning "cooked cream," effortlessly combines simplicity with elegance, making it a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. In our version, we've enhanced its creaminess and sweetness with the addition of vegan white chocolate. To achieve a harmonious balance of flavours, we've paired it with a tangy mango coulis, elevating the dessert to a perfect blend of sweet and tart.

This was very delicious.... I used less sugar though, as my partner and I like it less sweet and the mango (fresh instead of frozen) we used was perfectly ripe and sweet. Certainly something we will make again. I was wondering, whether you could maybe add the option of adding personal notes to a recipe (like when one used less of an ingedrient and so on) so in the future one doesn't have to guess how one has changed the recipe, when making it again. Thanks again for this delicious treat.

Hey Katharina, thanks a bunch for taking the time to share your experience with the mango panna cotta! For personal notes, you can add private notes on the app under the "directions" tab of a recipe > and then pressing "adding personal note". Hope this helps for now 🫶✨

Quick question: any feedback/advice on pouring the full mixture in a single container for family style serving?
PUL Team - April 12, 2024, 1:57 a.m.
Hi Noa, we haven't tried but imagine increasing the serving size may impact the texture. You could pour the mixture into a single container for family-style serving though. Just make sure it's evenly distributed for a consistent setting, and consider chilling it overnight for a firmer texture 😊

It became really liquid, even though I used agar-agar.

Hey there! We're sorry to hear about your experience. Just to clarify, when we time the boiling process, we start it from the moment the liquid begins to boil. If the mixture is taken off the heat before it's had sufficient time to boil, the cornstarch may not have been fully activated, leading to the mixture not setting properly. Out of curiosity, did you measure the sugar using a cup scoop or by weight? The amount of sugar can also impact the texture, so too much or too little could be a factor. We hope this helps for now!

Thank you for panna cotta, it's one of my favourite desserts from back home. Unfortunately, I didn't get quite the right consistency and it was a bit too liquid. Also, next time I'll reduce the amount of sugar and/or white chocolate because it was a bit too sweet for my taste. Excited to give this recipe another go and see if I can get it even better. 🙂

Hey Martina, thanks for sharing your experience with the panna cotta. Did you measure the sugar with a cup scoop or by weight? The reason we ask is too much sugar can impact the texture and sweetness of this recipe. In case you used cups, gently spooning the sugar into the cup can help avoid too much being added 🤗

This is heavenly! I didn't taste the coconut flavor that much, but I added ground vanilla, so that was a nice and dominant flavor. The texture was also great! It's easy to make, so I will make it again!

It‘s such a great recipe for special occasions! I made this on new year‘s eve for the family of my boyfriend and we loved it 😋
This dessert was simple to prepare, and that saved me time for cooking the main dish and the appetizer. It turned out wonderfully for the eyes and the taste buds on a restaurant level.
It was sweeter than I expected, so next time I‘d reduce the amount of sugar and white chocolate. Thank you PUL for the recipe!

Oh we're so happy to hear the heartwarming review, Onknee, thanks for taking the time to share this 🤗 Happy New Year!

Tastewise an absolute 20/10! It's like Raffaello chocolate and solero ice cream had a baby. Unfortunately, mine never fully firmed up - even after 1 day in the fridge. It did take a while to boil so not sure if something went wrong there or if it should have had a much thicker consistency straight after boiling. Will try again!

Hey there, Julia, thanks for taking the time to share your experience with the panna cotta! This recipe is indeed soft, but to help get a firmer consistency you can try boiling the mixture a bit longer. We start timing from the start of the boiling. If it's removed from the heat before it's had enough time to boil, the cornstarch might not have been activated nor might there be enough liquid evaporation, and the mixture won't set. Out of curiosity, did you measure the sugar with a cup scoop or by weight? Too much or too little sugar could also affect the texture. Hope this helps for now! 😊

It was amazing, I’m gonna cut the sugar down as it is fairly sweet. The consistency is great and the mango on top *chefskiss*

Hello Excited to try this recipe. Do you have any recommendations for a good vegan white chocolate brand or what to look for in a good one? I'm based in the UK. Thanks
PUL Team - Dec. 11, 2023, 3:40 a.m.
Hey there, Elaine, in the Netherlands, the Jumbo superstore carries a house brand of vegan white chocolate which we tend to use. We also use the iChoc, Zimt, or King David brands when in Canada in case any of those are accessible in the UK. Hope this helps for now! 😊
