Took this to my workplace 'bring some candy to share' Christmas event today and it was a big success - everyone thought the wreaths looked really festive and cute! I personally think they were waaaay too sweet but looked indeed amazing. For anyone else also struggling to find corn syrup: I used something called fibre syrup instead and when adding in the peanut butter, also added a half teaspoon of corn starch; in hindsight, I think it would have worked perfectly even without (using only the syrup) as the peanut butter really thickened it up and this way I got a pretty firm chunk of cornflakes&syrup to work with. I managed to wrestle balls of it into nice little rings but it was not easy. All in all, way too much effort taste- and nutrition-wise but the reception it garnered made it worth it in the end.
