Popular in North America, especially during fall and winter holidays, these tarts are a favourite at festive gatherings or as a cozy dessert. They feature a crisp crust filled with a gooey filling that highlights the deep, caramel-like flavour of maple syrup and the richness of butter, creating a delightful contrast of textures and tastes.

We have a Friendsgiving party today so I gave these a try. We havenât taken it to the party yet, but my boyfriend, who normally isnât into pecans, absolutely loved the tarts and wanted more. :D They were really fun to make, the instructions were very clear, and they really are delicious! I was initially expecting a pecan pie type flavour, but this definitely has its own unique maple twist to it. :-) I also decided to toast the pecans myself since I only had raw ones in the pantry, and slightly burned them (oops!), so our tarts are pecan maple popcorn flavored xD They still taste awesome though and the texture of the crust, the filling and the roasted/toasted pecans really complement each other! Thanks as always for the awesome recipes <3

Ouu this made us smile so much, Sandra! So thrilled you both enjoyed them, even with the pecan maple popcorn twist đ Hope theyâre a hit at Friendsgiving, and thank you for sharing the sweetest update đ€

My filling was not dark at all like the photos⊠more like a very light tan color. Iâm not sure why as I followed the directions exactly, but they tasted great anyways!

Thank you so much for sharing this! A lighter filling can happen depending on the brand of sugar, maple syrup, and even the type of vegan butter used, some just caramelize deeper than others. As long as they tasted great, you did everything right! If youâd like a darker colour next time, you can swap the light brown sugar for dark brown sugar. Itâll give the filling a deeper amber tone and a slightly richer, more molasses-forward flavour. Totally optional, though, the recipe works well either way :)

Would love to make this, but canât find vegan whipping cream. Would either coconut milk (solid portion) or some blended silken tofu (maybe with a splash of plant based milk for thinning) be a good substitute?

Hey Michelle, ooo, itâs a little hard to say for sure without testing it ourselves! The solid part of canned coconut milk could work well and give a creamy texture, though it will add a coconut flavour if youâre okay with that. The blended tofu option I'd be less confident about. Weâd love to hear how it goes if you experiment with any of these swaps đ€âš

Wow! The taste is so good. Only the dough needed to be little bit longer in the oven then recommended.

So delicious! My filling only darkened slightly. It looked nothing like the photos. Any idea why? It was still delicious, nonetheless!

this is by far my favourite recipe on the app, the taste is unbelievable and it's so easy! it's not too sweet but super flavourful. the pecans pair perfectly with the filling but it's also delicious (and cheaper) with walnuts

This made our day, Kristina, thank you! Weâre so glad you loved the tarts and found a way to make it your own with walnuts đ„°
