These are by far the best pancakes I've ever made (and had). Thanks for this wonderful recipe!

Katrina Branson - Feb. 16, 2025, 5:29 p.m.

Every time I make pancakes the batter is doughy. Any suggestions? What am I doing wrong?

PUL small logo PUL Team - Feb. 16, 2025, 8:43 p.m.

Hey Katrina, thanks for your question! 🤗 It sounds like your batter might be a bit too thick, possibly from overmixing or using too much flour. Try adding a little extra soy milk to loosen it up and mix just until combined – a slightly lumpy batter is totally fine! If you're using cup measurements instead of grams, lightly spooning the flour into the measuring cup and levelling it off with a flat edge can also help prevent adding too much flour.

Thanks. I’ve made these 3x already. I am going to try grams the next time and mix less and see how they turn out. I’m determined to make these as perfect as everyone says they are. Miss seeing you on YouTube!

Lara - Feb. 13, 2025, 1:01 p.m.

really good! I used a bit more lemon juice instead of white vinegar and it turned out great!! thanks pul team <3

Eden Barda - Feb. 10, 2025, 8:43 a.m.

I used spelt flour for this recipe and it came out terrible!! Just sharing so no one makes this mistake. My pancakes were so dense and wet inside no mater how long I kept them on the fire. Or maybe because I used Greek yogurt!! Idk but just stick to exact. Recipe.

PUL small logo PUL Team - Feb. 10, 2025, 4:22 p.m.

Hey Eden, aww spelt flour absorbs liquid differently than all-purpose flour, which can make the batter too thick and lead to dense pancakes. The Greek yogurt might have also played a role if it was thicker than soy yogurt, affecting the moisture balance. Letting the batter rest and adjusting the liquid might help if using substitutions 🤗

The BEST vegan American pancakes I've ever made! 😍 I didn't have soy or pea milk so I used oat milk and it worked just fine!😊

Celina - Jan. 18, 2025, 11:47 a.m.

I have tried almost all PUL pancake recipes and this one is my favorite! The texture is just perfect, so fluffy. I really enjoyed these pancakes 🥞

The kids loved this. My daughter turned hers into blueberry pancakes and they came out delicious. I will add this to our weekly pancake day

Meenakshi Shinde - Dec. 16, 2024, 4:09 a.m.

I made these for brunch today and it was my first time eating and making pancakes. I added vanilla flavored pea protein powder required for my gym day. And it was delicious. I am sure making it again and again.

Meenakshi Shinde - Dec. 16, 2024, 4:21 a.m.

Forgot to mention, I used whole wheat flour instead of all purpose.

Kirsty Gibb - Dec. 15, 2024, 7:46 p.m.

Excellent pancakes! Would say unless you have really brilliant non-stick to use marg or vegan butter on kitchen roll to grease the pan between batches. These types of fat have water & oil in an emulsion which creates a better barrier between the batter and the pan. I started with oil as suggested in the recipe but had far more success with vegan butter. Will definitely be making these again though!

Carolina - Aug. 27, 2024, 10:08 a.m.

Very yummy!!!

caramella - Aug. 26, 2024, 8:59 a.m.

I love how simple and delicious this pancakes are! They are best when eaten freshly made so I wouldn’t recommend to fry all of them in one go as they get a bit gummy in the fridge for the next day.
I swapped white vinegar to apple vinegar and I couldn’t taste it at all. Im vegetarian so I also used fat free Greek yoghurt in this recipe and it worked well. :)
I’m getting requests to make them again soon so it must be good!

Katie - Aug. 24, 2024, 8:52 a.m.

i have ascended after eating these pancakes. bless ur souls pickuplimes

Charltyn Farr - Aug. 19, 2024, 10:21 p.m.

Seriously the best!!!! I have tried so many pancake recipes looking for one that has fluff and is not gummy. We have a handful of allergies which makes it difficult to find recipes. My children love these pancakes and my mommy heart is happy.

PUL small logo PUL Team - Aug. 21, 2024, 8:27 p.m.

Whoop whoop! So thrilled that the pancakes were enjoyed, Charltyn, thank you 🤗
