Easy, yummy and healthy. :)
Really tasty cookies! Easy to make as well. I replaced the apple sauce with maple syrup, worked well.
Made this with my toddler and had fun making it. We left out the chocolate and blueberries because I know he would t have eaten them with them in it but this did make them a bit dry… more apple sauce and more banana would have done the trick! Nice easy kid friendly recipe!
I’d like to make these but can’t eat bananas ( migraines!). Will they work if I miss the banana out?
lovely and healthy recipe! I only had porridge oats in and they worked just fine as well :) the pumpkin seeds add such a nice crunchy texture, i’d recommend adding those in!
yuuuummmy! i added dattes instead of chocolate
I only had ground chia seeds, so that's what I used. For chocolate, I used chocolate chips. And I made it with frozen blueberries. Couldn't tell from the picture how much I should have flattened them. So they were on tue thicker side. And they were smaller, so I had 13 cookies, baked for 15 minutes. Was tasty. Not too sweet. 🍪 We do need to mix it well to make sirethe banana spreads for sweetness.
Delicious! I went off script a bit and used raspberries instead of blueberries and added pecans. My five year loves them. Thanks!!
Delightful!!!!!
Very very good. I didn’t have blueberries so I put fresh strawberries. Delicious
These are great! Love those mornings when you’re running late and realize there’s a breakfast option ready to go;) also love the applesauce hack for sweetness and moisture
I made these to keep in the freezer for days when I’m running late and don’t have time for breakfast. They actually eat best straight from the freezer!
I love these! I've been looking for options for nursing snacks, and these are absolutely perfect for that. Delicious!
These Cookies are so yummy, it is hard to believe, that they are healthy and full of good ingredients. They taste like an indulgent treat while working perfectly as a mid day pick me up or snack.
Yum!! I'll be making these again, soon!!
How simple, tasty and healthful! I need to make a triple batch and freeze them for breakfasts. I’ll take this over a bowl of oatmeal any day. 😍
I used frozen wild blueberries (thawed) and peanut butter in place of almond butter, hemp seeds in place of pumpkin seeds.
Love how easy these are to make! I prep them on a Sunday and freeze most, taking them out the night before. Great breakfast snack!
« Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. » Only two days ?? Why ? Is it for a health reason ..?
Erg lekker. Een paar ochtenden genieten van wat lekkers. Bedankt allemaal van Pick Up Limes.
Made them last night and they’re lovely both warm and cold. I didn’t have any blueberries, so I used frozen raspberries and it is delicious too :)
My favourite recipe. I wouldn't skip the blueberries 🙂
A staple!
I made these cookies mostly as a snack because I'm always on a go and they give me so much energy and are soooo tasteful 🤩 they just pick me up somehow hahaha
This is my go to cookie that I take with me when I go out on big hikes. Filling without being heavy, delicious, and packed with all the good things that keep me going. Any leftover cookies that I don't take me are never home by the time I get back as my partner has already devoured them all, ha! Thank you for this wonderful recipe!
Love these cookies, a healthy option for weekdays!
Delicious! I just made a batch to send off to camp with my daughter tomorrow. I love that she’ll have a nourishing nibble from home.
Absolutely delicious healthy cookies. These are addictive!
amazing taste and super easy to make :)
So awesome! Made these with my neurodivergent daughter who needs structure & predictability - so the “make along” pictures in the app were fantastic for her! Thank you so much PUL Team for helping her to feel capable.
Made these for Valentine's day, shaped them in hearts, ate them all. Recommend, recommend, recommend!
I am very fortunate that I have no issues with gluten. How much wheat flour do you think I would need to use? I generally don’t use almond or chickpea flours, etc.
Best discovery, I do them every week when a do my meal prep! It is so easy to change the flavor! I ad cacao powder and cranberries (insted of the bleuberries). I aslo but all the ingredients in the food processor to gain time.
Made these cookies for the first time and they are already a new favorite!
Hi Sadia
My family loved these cookies and it was perfect to the point :) Thank you for this awesome healthy cookie recipie.
Is there any alternative for unsweetened applesauce?
Abi
Love these - easy to make, delicious, healthy (no guilt!). Great option for breakfast on the go as well as a yummy snack. I think dried blueberries would work too.
Absolutely delicious! My kids love them too! Thank you for sharing all the healthy knowledge packaged in so taste treats! :)
PD. Enjoying the app too!
My daughter (10) loves them! And this is a big compliment - since she is rather into the unhealthy snacks :-D. I can finally put something new and wholesome into the lunch box! Thank you, Sadia!
Oh, these look amazing. I’m going to the Faroe Islands soon where I’ll be needing lots of hiking snacks, so I think I’ll make a batch the day before I go. 🤩
(Testing the comment feature on app. 🤍)
We make these cookies all the time, they're the best!
It was perfect! My husband has a sweet tooth and I always wanted to make some healthy and nutritional sweet snacks that he could enjoy throughout the day. He loved it. Sadia, your work and devotion speak for themselves. Your recipes are excellent. So glad you chose this path instead of becoming a medical doctor! Thanks again🙂
Love it, as you can make it gluten and sugar free!
These are just so so so good! Thank you Sadia! First batch I made was with frozen raspberries, second batch was with frozen blueberries both were so so good!
I made these and froze them to use as snacks for when I was on my period, really lovely and filling too. A bit drier than I was expecting but I think that was the way I did it. Would very much recommend for a healthy feeling snack.
Does anybody know if I could substitute the almond flour for coconut flour. I already have coconut flour at home and I live in a small town where almond flour is pretty pricy.
so yummy! did not use chocolate or seeds. used peanut butter instead of almond cuz that’s what we had. didn’t have patience to form cookies so put everything in a 9x9 parchment lined casserole dish and baked. added an extra 5min of bake time. probably could have used a few more min. bars were slightly crumbly but stayed together nicely. served w a spoonful of coconut based vanilla yogurt. so good! will definitely make again. want to try other nut/fruit combos.
Love this recipe - i tried it three times now and can't get enough of it.
I am not quite sure though why in my cookies the blueberries are all a bit smudged, so the cookies don't look as nice as on the picture. Is there a secret so the blueberries stay frozen longer?
Hello!
First, love your channel and posts. We use so many of your recipes and your content has been instrumental to helping our family adopt a more plant based lifestyle :) Breakfast cookies - SOOO good! I didn't have chia seeds, and I replaced the fresh blueberries with dried blueberries, and didn't have almond butter so used cashew butter! Soooo good! Thank you!!! Dianne
I would have these cookies anytime for breakfast, snack, or dessert :) Thanks for another great wholesome recipe!
Hi Sadia, Robin & team!
Thank you for your amazing content 😍
Just a question… if I am unable to find *gluten free* rolled oats which the recipe suggests as a gluten free substitute… could I use gluten free flour instead? Start off with the suggested amount of rolled oats and just add until the batter is the correct consistency? I know it probably wouldn’t have the same texture… but I still want to try 😆 Would I still need to add the almond flour as well?
Any suggestion or estimate would be helpful!
Thank you 😊🙏🏼
Loved the recipe!!! I make a few changes because I didn't have all the ingredients but I worked great! pumpkin seeds are the best in this cokies!!
I was stressed one day while making these and forgot the berries! 😄 but it worked out, tasted great! 🙂
I used hemp seeds instead of flaxseeds, raspberries instead of blueberries and pecans instead of chocolate. The pecans were a great choice! I don't like the colour green in my cookies, so I'll substitute pumpkin seeds next time. Perfect amount of sweetness in these. Maybe I'll use more banana instead of applesauce next time (hard to find sugar/ sweetener free).
Perfect for my growing and active kids for breakfast. I make a bunch and freeze them for an easy to grab and go meal. Raspberries instead of blueberries has been our favorite lately.
These were very yummy! Definitely a great nourishing snack :)💗 next time I will put a little more chocolate into them because I only used half of the required amount
I’ve made these twice now and love them! I pack them in my lunches or eat them for breakfast with coffee and some fruit when I’m in a rush. I’m also glad they don’t have any added sugars, they’re hearty and filling on their own without them :))
Wow! These were amazing! I'm a grad student, so quick healthy snacks such as these are my go-to. I gave some to my housemates, and they loved them, even more when they found out the cookies had no added sugar! Will definitely be making these a regular in the house.
I LOVE these but have since been tested and found out I have an almond allergy :( What swap do you think would work for the almond flour and butter?
I'm about to go make 30 of these (writing this to hold myself accountable) and I will check back once I've tried them!
Best. Cookies. Def double batch ;)
I make these all the time and love them!! So easy and delicious!
I love this recipe, these are the only cookies I make! :)
If you are frezzing them do you bake them first or freeze the batter, then bake? Thank you 😊
I think I prefer the apple variant, but these are a very welcome alternative for breakfast muffins!
These are my absolute favourite cookies of yours. I've been making them since you guys first posted it - at least a couple years now I think? I've even had friends ask for the recipe, they loved it! Such healthy ingredients too :)
These cookies are delicious and moist, of which the latter is attributed to banana and apple sauce. It’s amazing that they remain intact despite that the frozen berries thaw during baking. I used bilberries instead of American blueberries, as the former are smaller yet more filled with flavour and colour. Consequently, the batter became a bit difficult to handle whilst shaping the cookies. A trade off that was well-rewarded😋
