This is so good and on my regular rotation as well. So great on a slow winter morning 🙂
Seems to be a hit with picky toddlers, mine included! I feel great making this for our breakfast, knowing we’re starting the day off right with a wholesome and delicious meal.
This is my go-to breakfast!
I usually also add some soy or coconut yogurt for some extra creaminess :)
For the berries, I like to make the "jam" from the PUL-recipes (the one with chia seeds), so they're a bit quicker to add and a bit less sour (in my opinion)
Simple and tasty. I loved the crunch from the flaxseeds. Also a hit with my 3 year old
Delicious! Very filling. I may be able to eat half and feel great!
Absolutely amazing! My toddler and I RAVE about this oatmeal together 😄
So simple yet so comforting and delicious. The smell warmed my heart.
It’s been my favorite oatmeal for at least 6 years ☺️ I cook it on a low heat and the slow cooking gives it a very sweet taste ☺️
The oatmal itself was nice, but the stewed berries were very bitter. I need to try it again with different toppings/ fresh berries.
This is my absolute favorite! I was wondering about soaking. Should I soak the oats and/or any of the seeds overnight? I want to get as much protein out of this as possible!
Delicious! I made it with almond milk as I didn’t have soy and topped with sliced banana, peanut butter and pumpkin seeds as suggested. Perfect warming brekkie for the colder months.
One of the best oatmeal recipes I've tried. Easy to make, very filling, and guilt-free tasting. My go to for weekdays.
Random question for PUL team what brand bowl is pictured at the header of article?
Love this porridge and it’s my go to 😊
This has become my go-to breakfast when I need something quick and filling! (It's the best post-fasted-run meal ever!!) Love it, would recommend 100%!
Simply delicious!
Just made this today and it really helped me get on track on creating a simple yet nourishing breakfast for me and my husband thanks Sadia
So warm, comforting and delicious. I have to make this all the time for breakfast now!
Yummy!!
So delicious and creamy! Adding stewed berries is a great way to get more into your diet. I added dried cranberries and walnuts as toppings. Thanks for helping me eat healthier in an enjoyable way ❤️.
Amazing recipe!
We stirred in some pumpkin while cooking. Added berries, peanut butter and hemp! Yum!
I'm really impressed with how sweet this is with just banana. A lovely hearty breakfast, for a lazy Sunday morning
Delicious, hearty meal for a cold day! <3
This recipe is so yummy and comforting plus it makes my house smell lush! This is such a considered and thoughtful app, I have no qualms paying for this!
Ahh I love It!! Today I made it with an apple, it's super versatile!! 🤩
I also love that we can put a timer on so in the meanwhile I was preparing my tea
This is my favorite oatmeal to make ever.
Very yummy - this recipe made my partner and I like porridge again :)
This is my go to oatmeal recipe and make it often in the winter months, but today is rainy and dark and could think of no better pick-me-up than this creamy and comforting recipe. My family love it and it is truly nourishing. Thank you.
Super yummy. I did it in the the rice cooker and it worked well.
Fruity, warming, perfect Start into my day. Kinda resembles how autumn tastes like…
I always wanted to transition to a whole food vegan diet. Why did I not?
…..ignorance!
I was so unsure of the ‘how to’s’ and even more concerned about…

I'm speachless
So good!
What a triumph! I’ve NEVER tasted a better recipe for Oats! Now a ‘go-to’ regular.
Easy and delicious!
Super easy to make and delicious oatmeal. My 8 yo son approved so we‘re gonna make this more often.
On a side note: LOVE the app. Hardly ever seen an app that is so well made.
Just a perfect, yummy and easy recipe🥰
This is truly a comforting, warm bowl of creamy nourishing goodness! When my grandson began eating solids this was the first bowl of oatmeal he had and at 2 1/2 years old he still asks for this “oomaah” almost every morning.
This is my go-to way to make oatmeal. So wholesome, filling, and comforting. Don't skip the berries on top. I thought I'd finally comment after coming to this recipe again and again.
This is a staple at our house. Delicious and wholesome! Very easy to make.
This is definitely a favourite of mine! Love it! I made it just as it’s suggested here, and it is perfect.
One of my favourites 🙂
I usually don’t like warm banana - but this oatmeal is delicious! Will make it again! And the toppings work really well too
I’m not a big fan of cooking in general and I also don’t normally like eating oats but decided to try this anyway. It was super easy to make and sooo yummy, the mixture of the banana, berries and nut butter was really good! I’m definitely going to make this again!
Thank you!!!
Hey Sadia,
Absolutely love your videos and recipes ! Especially love all your oatmeal and granola recipes - it’s our family favourite !
I had a question - there is so much contradicting information out there about soy milk and I see you using soy milk a lot for most breakfast recipes and I know it would be a great source of protein, but my family always advises me against it cause of the issues related to it !
Could you please enlighten me more about it and share more information on soy milk as to what’s right ?
Thanks in advance
Love,
Kashvi
Hearty, healthy and satisfying, this is one of our favourites and we make it often. The berry topping really elevates and is super quick, love the rich bananas flavour cooked right in.
this recipe completely changed my relationship to oatmeal. cooking the banana with the oats is a game changer!
I grew up eating microwavable oatmeal and I’ve never made stovetop oatmeal before this recipe. The banana in the pot is a game changer! It’s such a delicious morning treat that satisfies my energy needs and my sweet tooth.
For some reasons, I always fail to make a nice tasty porridge, so I completely gave up making them, however when I found this recipe yesterday it looked so nice and I wanted to try it. The result was amazing as I was able to make a very yummy, looking nice porridge.
Thank you for sharing your recipes !
This is the first recipe I've made from your website. It's delicious! I soaked the oats in the soy milk for 5 minutes before cooking because I like the texture better. I added chia seeds to soak with it because I wasn't sure but thought it would help with absorption. I love watching your You Tube channel !
We love the recipe!
But I would advise others to hold off on adding the flax seed if you enjoy the traditional texture of oatmeal. We found that the flax made it all stick together in one big glob.
Delicious, wholesome recipe. Love it and we eat it so many times a week. X
I was almost giving up on oatmeal when I found this AMAZING recipe omg. It’s so simple yet flavorful and comforting.
I’ve made it two times now. The first one it was perfect but the second time the bananas kinda dried out while cooking and ended in an unpleasent consistency. The first time the bananas were very brown, the second time they were more yellow (but not unripe and tasted normal before being added), do you think they dried out because they weren’t ripe enough?
Hey love this outmeal so much … no I love ALL of your recipes so much 💚
Just one question: 1 cup soy milk is never 240ml, did I get something wrong or are my cups wrong? I am so confused haha
If you need to be converted to loving oatmeal-- this is the recipe!! I was wanting something hearty to make my twin toddlers for breakfast. This recipe is warm, cozy, filling, and all the other good things. It also holds up really well to being re-heated. I used chia seeds instead of flax seeds based on what I had in the pantry and found it worked well.
Also my compliments on your website! The portion adjustment feature is really handy.
This is the recipe that made me love oatmeal. Truly one of my favorite breakfasts now!!
This is truly the most comforting, filling and delicious oatmeal recipe I've ever had the pleasure of trying! I usually don't write any reviews but with this recipe I really felt like I had to. I added some fresh strawberries, kiwi, chopped almonds, pomegranate seeds and some chopped mint. Very refreshing!
Delicious!! I make this recipe weekly.
I've watched the video this recipe was featured in many times, and decided this morning I should make myself this oatmeal. It is hands-down the best oatmeal I've ever had! I cut the recipe quantities in half for one serving, but I followed everything else. Something about the soy milk and the banana cooking in the oatmeal, just incredible. Thank you Sadia for creating wholesome and tasty recipes that really work and make us feel great :)
Make this immediately! Delicious!
Just made this for breakfast for my partner and I, delicious! We were out of bananas, so I added a bit of maple syrup instead. Made with oatmilk, and topped with stewed blueberries, chopped toasted almonds, and hemps seeds. :) Thank you for sharing your recipe, great way to start the day!
Thanks for this. Great recipe! My girlfriend is allergic to bananas. Is there anything you would recommend to replace that or simply just leave it out?
I've always wanted to like oatmeal, but just couldn't get on board with it. I've tried a lot of variations. But this! This is it! Finally! Soooooooooooooooooo delicious! Thank you! You've just changed my eating life entirely!
Sooooo scrumptious!!! I’m a breakfast Oats kind of Girl and this is soooo good!!! 🙏 Thank you xxoo
This oatmeal is so delicious 😍😍😍 I just made it for the second time, and I topped it with some homemade applesauce and used yellow plums instead of bananas (that's what I had on hand, but I usually love oatmeal with banana). It has so much flavor and makes eating something simple like oatmeal so much more exciting! Thanks so much!!
This has become my go-to breakfast almost every day of the week. Such an outstanding combination of flavors from such a simple list of ingredients. And it is healthy to boot!
this became a self-care routine for me, love it so much! After eating only pre-made oatmeals, I tried this one and a week after I can say that I have not skipped a morning! thank you for the recipe and also the website makes cooking sooo much easier!
can i use whole grain flaxseed instead of ground?
Delicious, comforting and wholesome! Thank you for the recipe, I will be adding it to my morning routine.
Stewed berries and nut butter have completely revolutionized my oatmeal game! Historically, I've not been a fan of oatmeal, but they way you guys mix it up it is so incredibly good! I look forward to eating this recipe! And it's GOOD FOR ME! haha!
This is just sooo creamy, dreamy and perfect. Thank you sooo much for this recipe ❤️❤️❤️
SUPERB!!!!! The banana really gives the oatmeal something extra and topping it with stewed berries and, in my case peanut butter, completed it for me. I was surprised by how creamy it turned out and i loved every single bite! Who knew a healthy breakfast could be so easy and fun to make.
Hi! I love your recipes, but I have a question. How long should I cook old fashioned rolled oats for? I usually cook them for about 20-25 minutes.
I have made this recipe several times now and just love it. I'm not a true vegan but find that I'm making many of these recipes over and over again. Thank you for your attention to detail and I love the idea that I can make just one portion and don't have to mess with figuring out the measurements because the system does it for you. I also like the idea of being able to check off the ingredients and steps to the recipe, so I know exactly where I am in the process. And the fact that I can substitute certain ingredients if I don't have the one called for in the recipe. I've told all my senior friends as well as all my adult children about your website so that they can all have healthier meals. It goes without saying that seniors often don't have good nutrition when cooking for themselves and most recipes are written with several people in mind so it takes time to figure out the measurements for one or two people. That's why I appreciate the way you designed your website to figure out the portion sizes.
Yes, I love these recipes. Thank you.
Okay I had to leave a comment because I've bought rolled oats many times with the hope of making something delicious. This is the first time I made oatmeal that was ACTUALLY delicious. I can't believe how tasty this is <3
OMG!! I tried this recipe w/o the toppings!! And I loved it........I am going to eat this very often in my breakfast because it was tasty, healthy and kept me full till lunchtime!! I used to hate oats before this!!! Thank you so much PUL......I was missing out on a real good food!
Amazing! I usually do some form of overnight oatmeal because I found cooked oats to look and taste like cement, but I tried this recipe this morning and it was so good! I will certainly be making this any morning I have time to cook (and topping it with Pick Up Lime's superseed peanut butter, because it was the perfect combination).
Really good! I really enjoyed the taste of the cooked bananas.
This is the best oatmeal I've ever made! Thank you!
Love this bowl of oatmeal. It’s my breakfast for lunch on a rainy day. ♥️🌧🥣
I did it for 1 serving. It was so filling that I had a hard time finishing it. Although normally my portions are quite large.
From the moment I found this recipe, about two years ago, this is the only way I make oatmeal now. Thank you for this lovely recipe, I don't even know how I ate my oats before this! xoxo
This recipe has brought back my oatmeal obsession. So so good and so comforting. I’m so in love with all of your recipes.
YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Would there be a way to make your recipes print out on a single page? I removed the picture and it is still 2 pages.
OK, let me stop here for a minute. This oatmeal recipe is everything. And I'm not exaggerating. Before this recipe I was never into oatmeal. Now it is my go to breakfast from Monday to Friday for the past 2 years (even a little bit over 2 years) and it will stay much longer, I'm sure! Sometimes I changed the toppings for more summery vibes like mango and kiwi, but it's still the best. Thank you for sharing this on YT^^ <3
This recipe is soooo good! I only eat breakfast on weekends, and this has been my go-to for the past two weeks!
This turned out so delicious and filling. Definitely a new weekend treat for me.
Thank you so much PUL team! This oatmeal is so easy to make and this is a 10 year old saying I made this all myself. It tastes like heaven! Thanks 🥳
This oatmeal is truly comforting and it feels like a warm hug from inside out! It has been my go to breakfast during the colder months.
Love this recipe! The bananas cooked in and the stewed berries on top are SO delicious. Best oatmeal I've had, and it's fun to do variations.
This is so creamy I feel like my mouth is melting in heaven. Just had to post again to say this 😂
Oh. My. God. This was totally delicious, creamy, and comforting!! I’m definelty going to try more of your recipes from now on. Love you Sadia!
This recipe was my first ever oatmeal and I enjoyed it greatly! I especially loved the fact that it lasted me in the fridge for four days (I omitted the stewed fruit and added fresh fruit every morning instead)!
Hi, I have a question about a thing I've been trying out when it comes to my oatmeal. I would say I slowly perfected the recipe more and more and recently I had an idea how to incorporate even more healthy ingredients into it. I like my oatmeal really creamy and smooth so I tried using a blender to create dust-like mix of various seeds. I added this powder into the cooking oats and it turned out to be really good! So my question is - does the fact that the seeds are turned into the smallest possible pieces change anything about the nutritional value? I guess it should be easier to digest, but do you think it brings the same benefits as whole seeds/nuts? And also, would you suggest keeping this ground seed (I might also try adding nuts in the next batch) mix in the fridge? Thank you so much! Love you, Anna.
I just lovveee this oatmeal! Thank you Sadia for this amazing recipe.
How come I have been eating oatmeal without bananas and peanut butter all those years! Thank you for the best oatmeal recipe, Sadia! Greetings from Jordan :)
Wow! Sadia you’ve done it again! I’m not a big fan of oatmeal usually but loved this recipe, as with all of your amazing creations :)
