An alternative to the classic oatmeal, this creamy, cozy porridge is filled with rich coconut milk and juicy peaches. The soaked quinoa has an almost tapioca-pearl feel to them but has a lovely nuttiness that makes this breakfast the perfect balance of flavours.

Tried this one today! I literally just finished it, so it's a fresh review! You're correct about soaking overnight whenever you use Quinoa. It is a new food for me and I was rinsing then go. However, the water overnight, wow, it is so murky, disgusting...I'll never go back to just rinsing or using dry.
I made a couple tweaks to keep calories down as my portion is apparently feeding two people 🤣🙈 so yh needs must. I used regular alpro coconut milk instead of canned coconut milk, my protein vanilla flavdrops instead of vanilla essence, and reduced maple syrup. Topped with 50g stewed blueberries, 1/2 banana, and 20g melted almond butter. This is probably the best one I've had so far! Thank you for sharing!
My one request is to have more sweet quinoa options within your recipes. Obviously, I can come up with different myself, but it's nice to just go with a recipe 😋 ☺️

Great new breakfast option! I made this after Thanksgiving- it was great with the leftover cranberry sauce.

I ate the bowl to quick to add the toppings. Why would you create something that smells so good and not expect it to be devoured 😹😹 It was absolutely delicious and the rest I've packed up for the next days of breakfast. This time with toppings 😹😹

This is so yummy! Soaking the quinoa is key. I really wouldn't skip that step.

I happen to really enjoy this breakfast a lot. I wouldn't change a thing about it. Extras warm well and are still good a day or so later. I just happen to love most types of porridge. It was easy to assemble and no problem to cook. I will say, if your quinoa is older or not soaked overnight and rinsed thoroughly,it will be a longer cook time and retain a slight bitter grassy taste. (Which doesn't bother me) If you are cooking on electric. Vs gas it can also take longer to cook.

Thanks a bunch for taking the time to share your experience with the porridge, Tiffany! We're thrilled it's being enjoyed 🤗

Followed the recipe and soaked the quinoa as instructed, but the flavour of this porridge was odd. Despite the sweet syrup from the peaches and the creamy coconut milk, the quinoa did not absorb any of those qualities and was sadly bland. Not even the vanilla could conceal the distinct grassy quinoa taste

Hey Louise, thank you for sharing your experience. We'll take some time to revisit this one - thanks for helping us improve what we do! We find quinoa to have a rather neutral, mildly nutty taste, but the flavour can become influenced if it's kept in the open (exposed to light or air) or when it's old. Not sure if that's could be what's contributing to the 'grassy' taste, but we'll see what we can do with this one :)

It was good once I mix lots of the berry stew otherwise no sure I love the flavor of the peaches with the coconut milk. But def a healthy alternative for breakfast.

Besides being super yummy, this breakfast kept me full for a long time which was great on a busy workday. I didn’t have time to soak quinoa and worked well with few minutes of extra cooking time. Will definitely make this again, thanks!
