Really yummy! Used half the sambal and used ketjap asin which made it a bit salty but still very enjoyable! Made it with rice, tofu baked in Indonesian spices and green beans.

Loved this! But I chickened out & halfed the sambal oelek. I won't do that next time. It wasn't that spicy after all. Will definitely use this sauce over and over again.

Hi, looks amazing, but would it be an option to switch the coconut for silken Tofu? Or any other non-coconut option?

Hey Evelyn, I can't confidently recommend a 1:1 substitute with any other ingredient without testing it first. We do have other recipes, though, that contain a peanut sauce made without any coconuts. Could I welcome you to try those? For example, the peanut sauces in our: 1) our High Protein Lettuce Wraps with a Creamy Peanut Sauce, 2) Vegan Gado-Gado with Sun-dried Tomatoes, or 3) Gado Gado in a Jar. I hope one of these sauces will serve as a suitable alternative 😊
