In Indonesian, "Gado-Gado" literally means "mix-mix". It is a rich mixed salad containing a variety of vegetables, often together with protein source and mixed with a peanut sauce. By layering it in jars, these meals are easily portable, but you can also simply toss all the ingredients together in a bowl if you're enjoying your meal right away!

Hi. I'm writing here just because it's the first recipe I saw today. :) But my comment is a general one.
Besides my love for your content, channel, app and recipes, I would also like to point out how much I like these collections you're preparing. Can you please make a collection of stews or something "eaten with a spoon" (a loose translate of a Croatian phrase :) .
Thank you!

Hey there, Marijana, aw you're too kind! Thanks for sharing your love and light 🥰 As a workaround to find spoon-friendly recipes in the meantime, you may find our "soups" filter helpful. You can find it by clicking the filter button in the top right corner of the recipe tab > and pressing "soup" under the recipe type header.
This was absolutely delish! I subbed tofu for the tempeh and used brown rice and topped it with spring mix instead of the bean sprouts or spinach because that's all I had. I finished it off with chopped cilantro for extra freshness! Will definitely make it again! Thanks so much for an awesome recipe!

Hi! How can I eat this as leftovers for the next day? Do I need to heat it up? Thanks!
PUL Team - Aug. 6, 2023, 4:09 p.m.
Hey Tilly, you can enjoy it cold or warm, whichever you'd prefer. Personally, I enjoy this one warm. You can either heat it up in the microwave, or in a pan on the stove - perhaps just add a small splash of water and cover with a lid until it's heated through. Enjoy!

I just made this for my lunches this week and oh my gosh it was so delicious. I used spinach instead of rice, and I am very excited for my lunches this week! The recipe used quite a few pans, but it is definitely worth it.

This dish came out excellent! Made 4 servings for a few days of lunches and could not be happier with the results and variety of flavors. We will be adding this into our regular rotation

Really liked this one! I marinated some jackfruit instead of tempeh, sautéed it in a saucepan, and then added all the sauce ingredients (minutes the extra sambal) and it was such a great dinner! Also added some cucumber and cherry tomatoes instead of pepper for some freshness.
I scaled down to 4 portions and prepared my lunch for the next days. Light, yet filling. The tempeh bites are my favorite part of the salad!
