No, this recipe can't be real! 🤯
This is absolutely delicious! It hit all the right spots of flavor and texture!
I added a bit more rice and sauce, I have to say the lime gives it that extra punch of tastiness.

This was very quick and easy to put together, and has great flavour and feels very satisfying to eat . Maybe not something that was out-of-this-world outstanding, but then every recipe doesn’t need to be that way! I did end up using tamarind water (soaking some tamarind in water and using the drained water) instead of the tamarind paste. I guesstimated the quantity I needed for the recipe and it turned out fine, I think, but I was wondering if you’ve experimented with this and have a better idea of how much one should use?

Hey Amrita, thanks for sharing your experience with the recipe 😊 We imagine it's a bit tricky with tamarind water since it's less flavourful than tamarind paste, but adding too much can also water down other flavours in the dish. I personally don't have much experience using it this way so I'm sorry I can't be of more help, but I'll make note of trying to experiment more with it in the future!

This was a very tasty dinner for my family. I couldn’t find tamarind paste and I wasn’t going to a specialty store so I just used ketchup and it worked just fine! I ate mine without rice and my husband with rice. Either way it was so good. I made it for 4 servings but it really fed about 3 adults. We used a lot of the veggies and less rice so that’s probably why. If you do the same, increase the portion to make enough.
