Hakka noodles are a popular Chinese-Indian fusion dish that originated from the Hakka community in India. These noodles are known for their unique blend of Chinese-style preparation with Indian spices and flavours. The dish is typically stir-fried with a medley of vegetables like carrots, cabbage, bell peppers, and spring onions and is seasoned with a variety of sauces, which give the dish an umami taste. Depending on how spicy you enjoy your dishes, we advise using less or more of the hot sauce.

Quick and tasty. Used vegetables I had on hand and added some tofu. Also omitted the extra salt and sriracha so it was suitable for our toddler, but the sauce was still great.

Marguerite De Valois - Nov. 7, 2024, 4:29 p.m.

Nouilles sympathiques, efficaces et très versatiles au niveau des légumes. Pratique pour vider un frigo

Made this lovely dish but swap the noodles for rice and it still tastes delicious .

Good, but may be too hot for some people. In this case I thought about switching the Siracha with Ketchup.

Hey PUL team, I would love to make this recipe but I am not sure where to find Hakka noodles in the Netherlands. Since y'all are based in NL, could you point me in the right direction? Hope it's okay to ask this question here! 😊

Hey there, Amal, for sure! We got our noodles from our local Asian supermarket, the Amazing Oriental in Eindhoven. You can also use different noodles, though, if they're easier to find 🤗

Thank you 🤩

Recette sympa et piquante. Un bon basique pour un repas informel.

Ola - Sept. 26, 2023, 5:13 p.m.

I do love this recipe and I have made it twice in a week.
The second time I used penne pasta and it was still delicious.
Easy to make and packed with nutrients.
Thanks Pick up Lime😊

Nice, quick and yummy 😀

Rachel - Sept. 6, 2023, 12:51 a.m.

Great flavour, thanks! Used soba noodles instead (which I’d heard about from PUL:) and worked out well.

Angelapa - Sept. 5, 2023, 8:06 p.m.

This looks so delicious . Would you have a recipe for homemade sriracha that really tastes like it . Can’t find the original anywhere.

PUL small logo PUL Team - Sept. 7, 2023, 6:40 p.m.

Hey Angelapa, we don't have a recipe for homemade sriracha but have noted down the idea for future recipes! There is a worldwide shortage of sriracha right now from our understanding.

In the meantime, you could omit it for a less spicy recipe, try another chili sauce accessible to you in its place, or experiment with some red pepper flakes or chopped chili if you're hoping for spice but can't find a sauce 😊
