Teriyaki (照り焼き) is a Japanese cooking technique in which foods are broiled or grilled with a glaze of soy sauce, mirin, and sugar. These days, in countries outside of Japan, any dish that uses a teriyaki-like sauce is described using the word teriyaki. In this dish, the sauce covers thick and chewy udon noodles, "mock" chicken, and veggies. It's the perfect quick and easy weeknight dinner.

Delicious! This hits all the spots of a takeaway! I didn't have any green cabbage as it looked a bit sad in the supermarket, so I got some cavolo Nero instead. It's a great dish for when following anything more complicated is too much 😂

Hi Carmen! The noodles can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. In case you haven't seen yet and it helps in the future, the storage instructions on the app are in the directions tab and the last slide of the "Make" step-by-step instructions ☺️✨

Thanks for your quick response 🙏. Yes, I know where storage instructions usually are and I checked before sending the message, but I did not see it. And now I checked again and the only text I can see in step 4/4 is about the toppings... Maybe it's somewhere else?

Easy and delicious meal! I added pineapple and it worked out great. Also, did not have the teriyaki sauce on hand, but a bunch of different stir fry sauce leftovers and it still turned out amazing.

Super easy yet delicious recipe! It probably depends a lot on the type of teriyaki sauce that you buy. Mine was very good and salty so I didn’t add any more sugar to the dish

Is Green cabbage in English the same as White cabbage in Dutch? The cabbage you use looks like the Dutch White cabbage and not the Dutch Green cabbage (Savooiekool). Should I use the white cabbage in this recipe?

Hey Car, yes green cabbage in English is the same as Dutch white cabbage (witte kool). It's the round-headed cabbage used in recipes like coleslaw 🤗

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! It was a hit with the whole family! I'm not a fan of mock meats, so I just loaded up with more shitakes. And I didn't have green cabbage, so I used purple, and it was so beautiful and bright!

Delicious! Made homemade sauce and added edamame beams for extra protein. Topped with black and white sesame seeds for extra style.

Tested & approved! I started with 1/2 of the sriracha (Belgian kids are not used to hot dishes) and added more to my own plate. To have a balanced flavor of the dish, its best to put in the initial amount of sriracha.
I tend to take more veg to ensure the plate method.
The kids loved it. (But love the ‘quick garlic chili noodles’ even more 😉)

Hey Olivia, we prefer green cabbage because it has a more mild flavour and holds better during cooking compared to Savoy cabbage which is more delicate. You can use whatever is more accessible though :)

Very tasty and delicious udon noodle recipe. My husband and I take way less sriracha sauce because it’s too spicy for us, but apart from that we really enjoyed this dish.
