Great! Didn't expect it to be so yummie!
That was way more delicious than it had any right to be given how simple and easy it was to make. Seriously...so good.
This was incredibly delicious! Creamy, a bit spicy and so yummy.
Ketjap manis is new to me and I'm so glad I get to know it in this delicious combo. Such a satisfying snack!
I wouldn't omit the fried onions - they make it so good.
I couldn't tell you how many times I've made this since it was published. It's just the perfect meal, fresh, low effort, INCREDIBLY delicious. I honestly crave the ingredient combination, it's just out of this world delicious.
Loved how simple this was to make. I added tempeh and spring onion. Just delicious
Oh Sadia this is so good! The easiest & tastiest 5min meal. So much flavour for so little effort. Yummo 😊
Simply the best!
This was SOO tasty and easy. I kept smiling as I was eating. Everything blends together so well. I didn’t have the original two sauces so I used sweet chili sauce and it tasted perfect. Looking forward to using the other sauces in the recipe.
I made this this morning although I didn’t have all the ingredients only cucumbers and carrots and peanut butter still so yummy thank you!
OMGGG!! I'm hooked, this is hands down the best sandwich ever, so genius! Thank you so much!
Simple but delicious, will make this more often.
Love this! It's a delicous lunch, if you don't have much time, like me :)
This was fantastic balance of flavours and textures, my family loves this as a brekkie/lunch! Thanks for including some diverse cultural recipes, I really enjoy them
Hi team.
Just wanted to say l've just found your channel and I'm loving the professional content. So had to get the app too!!
Love this recipe and as I'm just restarting my vegan journey this is a filling and tasty start. Tho I topped it with a drizzle of balsamic glaze.
I’m hooked. So simple and yet so tasty. Did use sambal badjak instead of manis. And will add some taugé next time.
At the moment, I'm planning on making this weekly for a while....it's that good!
This is my absolute favorite thing to eat right now! I didn’t have ketjap manis or sambal oolek, so I subbed in coconut aminos and hot sauce(mix with the peanut butter). I have been playing around with different vegetables on this(like broccoli slaw), too. Every combo has been so delicious. I loooove this. Thank you PUL!
10/10!!!!
I didn't have bread but had a mini flatbread and made a Gado Gado pizza 🤤🤤🤤
10/10 - love finding new ways to eat peanut butter
Sooo good, I have to repeat this gadogado weekly
Would highly recommend pickling the carrots for just that little bit of extra flavour! I love this recipe so much (as a uni student this is my go-to lunch) and the pickled carrots are just the cherry (or carrot?) on top :)
I make this recipe ALL the time! It is absolutely delicious!! I can't say enough good things about this recipe! It's convenient, easy, tasty, and very nutritious! I really wouldn't skip the fried onions. They just make this recipe! Thank you for sharing this!
Love this !
This was surprisingly delicious!!! The combination of the ingredients have a pleasant harmony 🎼
Delicious! Works well with avocado too
Hi,
Where can I find sambal oelek in California?
So lovely! Reminded me of the trip to indonesia I took a month ago! Loved it
My new favorite go-to lunch!!!!! Amazing.
Wow, that was so yummy! What a great idea and pretty easy to make. Thank you.
Delicious!! And so easy! Who knew peanut butter toast could be so fancy??
Easy and delicious! I love the flavor combinations.
Absolutely delicious! Made it 2 days in a row now 💕
Is this my new favorite food? This might be my new favorite food. I'm literally buzzing with how happy these flavors made me. And you can't beat that it can be made in 5 minutes. Also the fact that it's budget friendly! This is college student approved 🤌 I can't get over the crisp freshness of the cucumber, with the nutty of the peanut butter, and the sweet and spicy sauces. This recipe is firing on all cylinders, but like it's just toast! It has no right being THIS good!
It would be great if you could do a show about noodles. Kind of a “Noodles 101” to educate your viewers about the many different mounds of noodles, different ways to use them and how to cook each type. Thank you’
Ik ben dol op het recept 🥰. Mijn moeder is half Indonesisch en half Nederlands, gado werd vaak geserveerd, maar nooit zo lekker. Dank je ❤️
So easy and sooooo good! Never would have thought to put these ingredients on toast, but it works!
Yum! I've been excited to try this. I added sliced peppers and topped with cilantro. We didn't have any hoisin but did have a tamarind dipping sauce that I drizzled on with some sriracha. It was amazing and my husband loved it. Thank you!
Such a refreshing version of a sandwich 🥹❤️🔥 Can’t get enough of it!
Wow, this was delicious.
I used coconut oil rather vegetable oil to toast the bread.
I also added a thin layer of baked tofu which I marinate in a mix of sambal oelek, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
And then I sprinkled with a little bit of shredded thai basil from the herb garden.
Is there a substitute for the ketjup?
Loved it! A hit with the family and so easy to make!
Imagine a Dutch office on a regular Thursday afternoon in May. Everyone has their lunchbox with like cheese sandwiches at lunch. I'm always eating strange stuff, but people notice I have a regular looking lunchbox with me today (instead of some salad, soup, whatever). Lunchtime comes and I open my lunchbox. Coworkers are curiously looking to see if they can take a peak at my sandwich. Is it really a regular old sandwich? They smell peanut butter and jokingly ask if I accidentally took my 5 year old's lunch with me. Then the sandwich opens up and I get out the vegetables I kept in a seperate container. Cucumber, green beans and some taugé go on top. Then I get out my tiny containers, one with ketjap manis and one with some fried onion and but that on top. My coworker says "Wait a minute is that supposed to be gadogado... on bread?" The man is semi-insulted but intrigued at the same time. I enjoy my lunch and get back to work. Co-workers joke about me never being able to bring a "normal" lunch.
Fast forward to today (Friday). I get to the office and the co-worker that was slightly insulted yesterday is already there. He shows me his lunchbox. It's the ingredients for a gadogado sandwich.
Absolutely delicious!
Okay just made this and I can see myself eating this every day! So easy and so good!
Hey! What's a healthy store-bought crispy fried onion option? Or should I just add a slice of regular onion if I don't have these? Yellow or red?
Hi, I’d love to try this recipe, looks delicious, but can I substitute the cucumbers with any other veggies, maybe zucchini…?
Thanks 😊
