🌟 RECIPE UPDATE: We’ve made a few tweaks to improve the flavour balance in this salad. The amount of cinnamon has been reduced so it’s less overpowering, , tahini has been added for a gentle creaminess, and the orange blossom water has been removed for a simpler, more harmonious taste. We hope you enjoy the updated version! 💛 xo, Sadia (9 July 2025)

fine but not a recipe I would recommend to friends

This was a nice change to coleslaw and very fresh tasting, but I think I agree with previous comments that it felt like it needed an extra something. I ended up adding some pomegranate molasses for a bit of tang and I think that worked.

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your feedback, Claire, it's so helpful to us! Based on your feedback, and that from others, we've just made some tweaks to this recipe to help balance the flavours a bit more. Thanks so much for helping us improve what we do!

I just juiced some oranges recently. About how much juice should the one orange yield?

PUL small logo PUL Team - May 1, 2025, 2:38 p.m.

Hey Aileen! One medium orange usually yields about ¼ to ⅓ cup of juice, though you can always add more or less to taste. Happy cooking 🤗🧡

I felt that it was missing something, perhaps spice or an extra savory element, more herbs or fats. I mostly just got orange and carrot together, which isn’t a bad pair, but nothing remarkable. Better suited for a smoothie. I probably wouldn’t make this again, fun to try though.

Thanks so much for giving it a try, Rebekah! You're right, this salad's meant to be more delicate and refreshing, but we really appreciate your notes. We'll keep them in mind as we continue to test and improve our recipes. Grateful you gave it a go, and we hope some of our other dishes bring more of that flavour punch you're looking for 🤗

For my taste it was too sweet. So I added some lime juice, more olive oil (for vitamin A) and some chili flakes and pepper.
I served it with the broccoli pesto and tagliatelle .

Quick, easy and tasty. Addition of orange is refreshing and unique.
