Be careful with the ginger! I must have used too much because that’s all I taste. I’m sure it was my doing but I was quite disappointed to waste all of those beautiful blackberries.

Hi, what do you think about making a bigger batch and then freezing the syrup as ice cubes, so it's handy to have on hand anytime ? Would it work or do I loose the health benefits from doing that?
PUL Team - May 16, 2024, 8:59 a.m.
Hey J, making a bigger batch and freezing the syrup as ice cubes is a lovely idea. We haven't tested it but I suspect it should work well. Freezing can slightly alter the texture when thawed, but since you'll be using these cubes directly in your drink, it shouldn't be a problem.
As for the health benefits, freezing preserves most of the nutrients, so you won't lose significant health benefits. Vitamins and antioxidants are generally stable during freezing. Let us know how you find it if you try it out!

Hey there, Cierra, we've heard a positive review with kiwi! You can use an alternative fruit such as peaches as well 🙂

I love this recipe! Wouldn't have thought that fighting my rosacea could be this delicious! :D Plus, when I noticed that the fruit mixture already tastes really delicious itself, I replaced the blackberries with frozen blueberries, mixed it with the frozen pineapples, lime and maple syrup and got a really tasty nicecream

Mmm blueberries and pineapple are a delicious idea, Johanna! So happy to hear it was enjoyed 🙂

I just made this drink and it turned out amazing! I didn't have enough blackberries at home, so I used half blackberries and half frozen cranberries instead, and it did the job perfectly. I am a big fan of green tea and this version is great for the summertime. Thanks for the recipe :)

Ooo the half-half mixture sounds delicious! Thanks a bunch, Dorka 🤗

Hi there, I am about to make the recipe but I don't have any pineapple and my friend doesn't like that at all. I was wondering if I could swap it with something else. Is it to bring some acidity in the drink or is it to do with the consistency or the puree? Or both? 😁 Looking forward to try this drink in this hot weather in South England!
PUL Team - Aug. 13, 2022, 7:50 a.m.
Hey Orlanne, so nice of you to think of making it for your friend! The pineapple helps add sweetness while thickening the puree. You can use an alternative fruit or fruit juice, such as mango or peach. We've also heard a positive review with kiwi. We hope you enjoy the recipe if you're able to give it a try. Sending hugs to South England 🙂
Orlanne - Aug. 13, 2022, 9:08 a.m.
Thank you I wasn't sure with mango but I'll give it a go and let you know the result! Looking forward to trying now 🤩
Orlanne - Aug. 13, 2022, 6:28 p.m.
I did try with frozen mango in the end and it does the job perfectly! I may have added too much tea though, the flavour was a bit diluted, but I'll give it another go! You can't go wrong with this refreshing drink! Thank you again 🥤

Woohoo! Thanks a bunch for the update, Orlanne, it's so appreciated 🤗

Great drink! Since I always forget things at the supermarket, I substituted the pineapple for a peach and a gold-kiwi, so technically I don't know how the drink tastes precisely, sorry. But the make-do version was amazing. Thanks for all the recipes and inspiration for the forgetful=people-variations!

We made this tea to sip on during family movie night and it was a huge hit. So refreshing and gorgeous - I loved swirling around my glass and watching the blackberry syrup mix and settle. This will definitely become a summertime staple. (I also thought a version with blueberry, lemon, and thyme would be nice.).

Oo movie night sounds lovely and we're so glad the drink was enjoyed! Let us know if you give a blueberry, lemon, and thyme version a try 😍

I have a lot of issues with bitter/tart flavours and texture problems that make eating vegetables and fruits difficult. Your recipes really help me consume more healthy foods and I just wanted to say thanks.
I'm really enjoying this one in particular. I'm using up tea that would have just sat in my kitchen and having some fruit in the morning which is foreign to me.

A perfect light and fun refreshing drink for summer. Used spearmint tea to get that flavor as I didn’t have any mint on hand. A little work, but oh so worth it. 😄

I just made “this”, or a heavily adapted version based off of what I have on hand.
We have plenty of tea we rarely drink, so I brewed green and some black/rooibos mixed (I’ll write up that part when we try the boba recipe of yours soon!). We have a mix of an açaí super fruit blend - so antioxidants are still coming in hot! Blueberries, mango, açaí, pineapple. I followed your instructions on the ginger, maple, lime, but are missing fresh mint. Bummer.
We enjoy this! 👌 I would definitely recommend trying it out, even if you don’t have the exact ingredients on had. I will definitely make it again. I’d follow the recipe to a T, and just be inspired by yours to produce something in this realm of “iced tea refreshers”. I’m saving the solids to use in my breakfast oats. 😋 Thanks Sadia! 💜

PUL Team - Aug. 4, 2022, 12:58 a.m.
Hey Paulina, the blended blackberry mixture will store best in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to 2 days, although fresh is best. We hope you enjoy the iced green tea 😃

PUL Team - July 31, 2022, 9:43 p.m.
Hey there, V, that's a lovely question! You can use rooibos tea. Since rooibos tea tends to be less bitter than green tea you could start with a tad less maple syrup and add more to taste at the end if you generally prefer less sweet beverages 🙂
