This looks great! Is there a way to wash the leeks and still maintain their wonderful shape?

PUL small logo PUL Team - Aug. 13, 2024, 7:13 p.m.

Hey there, Talia, you can wash leeks by soaking them in a bowl of water and gently separating the layers with your fingers to remove any dirt. Just make sure to shake off any excess water before using them πŸ€—

Great! Thanks!!

Didn’t have the jarred bell pepper, so we tossed one in the air fryer for 10 minutes and it worked really well! Very easy and quick!

Soooo good!

Very easy and straight forward recipe! Today in Wales it is St David's Day and the national plant is the Leek! Was looking for a recipe with leeks and this appeared! It is little effort for something that looks like a show stopper! It was lovely, maybe needing a touch more salt or for me, a little more thyme but all in all, delicious! Tried it cold and the base flavours definitely really shine through. This would be perfect made the day before for a picnic!

Happy St. David's Day, Molly! What a fitting dish for the occasion. Adding more salt or thyme sounds like a great idea for personal preference.

Jasmin - Feb. 28, 2024, 8:20 p.m.

Thank you so much for this recipe! Since I don't know where to find those peppers, I used dried tomatoes in olive oil. The spread was quite dry and crumbely, but it still tasted amazing and wasn't dry after baking at all. Maybe use more water or oil πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ (when replacing the peppers)

Hey Jasmin, in case it helps we typically get roasted pepper in a jar from our local grocery store in the canned foods aisle. Tomato is a lovely substitution idea though and we're glad that the recipe was enjoyed πŸ˜ƒ

Michaela - March 5, 2024, 3:16 p.m.

Is this the peppers with acid/vinegaer?

PUL small logo PUL Team - March 5, 2024, 4:45 p.m.

Hey Michaela, the peppers we use are in a jar that contains mostly water, and then a bit of salt, vinegar and sugar. Hope this helps! πŸ™‚

Michaela - April 18, 2024, 11:38 a.m.

Thanks! Are the peppers from albert heijn? I'm from germany and here they are very vinegary (is this a word?πŸ€”) for my opinion. So i can biy it with the lovely peanutbutter from a.h. next timeπŸ˜‹

PUL small logo PUL Team - April 19, 2024, 4:43 a.m.

Hi Michaela, indeed we get our jarred roasted red bell pepper from Albert Heijn πŸ™‚

Luiza Alice - Feb. 21, 2024, 2:01 p.m.

Thank you ! Just have 3 leeks and frozen French pastry!
Just a question- I got yesterday lots of smoked tofu from Too good to go from Naturalia- can I use it? What adjustments to make if so ? Thanks <3

PUL small logo PUL Team - Feb. 21, 2024, 5:37 p.m.

Hey Luiza! Smoked tofu typically has a firmer texture and outer smoked layer compared to general firm tofu so we're not confident it will work seamlessly.

If you give it a try, you likely need to adjust the blending time or method to ensure it blends smoothly with the other ingredients. For example, maybe a bit more oil or water. It will also add a smoky flavour but you can adjust the spices to taste to balance it out if needed :)
