Interesting, but I think roasting the bell peppers would add a little more punch of flavor in the sauce. I'll give it a try next time I make the recipe.

Hi there, Marguerite! Four slices of bread weighed 220 grams when making this recipe, or 55 grams per slice. For us, a slice of bread typically weighs around 35-55 grams, depending on the type of bread and thickness 🙂

The dumplings definitely are what make this soup delicious. The actual soup tasted strongly of bell pepper which makes sense but was too much for me. I also added blended up beans to the soup to make it more filling

Hi Anjali, we prefer frozen for this recipe but you can use fresh spinach instead if you prefer! Just cook and squeeze out the excess moisture before adding it to the mixture. This will help maintain the right texture in the dumplings 🙂
