I had to make a few substitutions for ingredients I didn’t have on hand-
Cashew cream with lemon juice for the yogurt, and cashew cream plus water for the milk. We paired the beans with fresh sourdough.

Such a satisfying meal! It's so creamy without being too rich and perfect to shovel in with a naan 😁 I made a half serving (so two portions) and found it only needed 5 minutes to cook to thicken up. I'm definitely adding this one to my regular rotation!

Simple and flavourful at the same time! It was a little too liquid, so next time I'll add a bit less milk I think. (I used almondmilk, maybe soymilk makes it a bit thicker?)
The fennelseeds are bringing the dish to the next level. Great!
Really unique and tasty. The dominant flavors are tomato and ginger, which at least for us isn't a common set of dominants flavors in a bean dish. We will definitely be making this again.

I agree I also found it a little bit bland, next time I’ll double de spices. I meal prepped this dish for breakfast through out the week and it keeps perfectly in the fridge for about 4 days. Just needs a touch of fresh lime and it comes back to life!
So so good! Had it with rice and it tasted amazing:) my tip is to add more of the spices to really make the flavour stronger, the recipe is easy to make and 10/10 as always!
Loved this! I doubled the spices since mine are a little old and maybe less potent than new spices. My husband said he wants this added to the weekly rotation this winter :)
