This recipe is a curry-to-go option, very similar to a samosa, for the times when you don't want to assemble rice or naan and curry on its own. They freeze well and make it easy to grab a curry or two on a busy morning.

These were very nice! Only reason I'm giving it a 4/5 is because they took a little too long to make, so we'll reserve them for special ocassions :)
PUL Team - Jan. 17, 2025, 9:34 a.m.
Hi Anastasia! We're glad to hear that the curry pockets were enjoyed! Thank you for the feedback on the preparation time - indeed, they are a bit of a labour of love, but well worth it ;)
Deborah - Jan. 9, 2025, 12:40 p.m.
We made them with pizza dough and puffed pastry. Both were delicious. The next day they are perfect after warming them up in the air fryer. And the sauce is good too, but we added some mint and minced garlic too.
PUL Team - Jan. 9, 2025, 5:15 p.m.
So glad you're enjoying the curry pockets, Deborah, thanks a bunch! š
Nadin - Jan. 1, 2025, 8:50 a.m.
Absolute banger of a dish! I made some extra filling and served it with rice the next day and it was to die for; Will definitely make it again!
Elisa GonzƔlez - Oct. 6, 2024, 11:22 p.m.
Iāve made these over and over again. The recipe makes enough filling for almost 2 pizza doughs and they freeze lovely. This is our go-to recipe for travelling, a no-fuss perfectly nutritious meal on the go.
Stephen Coward - Sept. 20, 2024, 8:53 p.m.
My dough game needs work, but great recipe!
Dilys - Sept. 19, 2024, 8:07 p.m.
I enjoyed the curry, but found the pizza dough part a bit of a hassle. I make this recipe again from time to time, but I just make some rice and skip the pizza part. The flavours are on point!
Di - Sept. 19, 2024, 6:51 p.m.
Not everyone's taste (if you have high curry standards) and you might need more dough. And not every dough works. The pizza dough I bought would not close no matter how little filling I would put and how much space for chipping I left. In the end I was left with curry I cannot enjoy much and a useless piece of dough.
PUL Team - Sept. 19, 2024, 7:12 p.m.
Hey there, Di, sorry to hear this! We really enjoy the flavour of the curry filling. For better results in case it helps with the leftovers, you can make a paste of flour and water to help "glue" the dough together and press it together with a fork. We have also made these in a muffin tin, making "curry cups".
Di - Sept. 23, 2024, 4:13 p.m.
Thanks for your advice!
nedajane - Aug. 24, 2024, 1:37 a.m.
This was a fantastic recipe! I am going to by more dough next time, since the ratio of dough to filling seemed off, but I really did enjoy just eating the curry with rice š I will be making this again. Thanks PUL team!!
Suzan Hulleman - July 25, 2024, 5:58 p.m.
They tasted great, but they kinda exploded in the oven. Next time I will make al little hole in the top. Even my 2 year old loved it!
Simone Da Ponte - May 15, 2024, 8:44 p.m.
Looks great! Quick question, at what stage would you freeze these? After a light bake? Or just completely before baking?
PUL Team - May 15, 2024, 8:52 p.m.
Hey Simone, we prefer to freeze them after fully baking. We find it's fast to enjoy them because we only need to allow them to thaw before enjoying. You can reheat in the oven for a bit to re-heat. You can also freeze them after filling, but before cooking. They can be baked as directed, maybe adding a few minutes to achieve the golden colour, if you would like to enjoy a fresh-baked batch!
Simone Da Ponte - May 16, 2024, 9:22 a.m.
Thank you so much!
Audrey Bartholomew - May 9, 2024, 2:52 a.m.
These were so yummy! My kids (5 and 7) both asked for seconds. When we make again, I may just make the stuffing and eat with pita.
Astrid - March 20, 2024, 8:54 a.m.
Great recepie! The pockets tasted even better the next day cuz the pizza dough went a little softer. The curry on its own was perfect to serve with some rice as a left over.
Kate - March 11, 2024, 12:34 a.m.
These were great! The curry made much more than needed for the 8 pockets, but not complaining.
Cheryl M. - Feb. 27, 2024, 6:53 p.m.
Delicious! Recipe scaling was a great option for making a big batch for multiple meals. Curry was aromatic and the flavour profile heavenly. Dipping sauce was the bomb and paired with the dish perfectly. Family loved it. Expect this to become a regular in our favourites rotation!
PUL Team - Feb. 28, 2024, 12:24 a.m.
Woohoo! We're so thrilled that the curry pockets were enjoyed, Cheryl, thank you š¤

LukĆ”Å” KrĆ”l - Jan. 9, 2024, 7:21 p.m.
Recipe is easy to follow and creates what seems to be a tasty meal. Unfortunately the taste just isn't for me so only 4 stars.
Marc Egnal - Jan. 5, 2024, 11:02 p.m.
Amazing meal I havenāt made a bad meal using this app, thank you for posting this recipe I will be using it quite often!!

Woohoo! So happy to hear, Marc, we're excited to continue this culinary adventure together :D
Anisha McClure - Jan. 3, 2024, 2:08 a.m.
So good! I made my own sourdough pizza dough and they turned out fantastic. I didnāt like the sauce (mayo is weird!) so made my own and the next time Iāll add some ginger and chili to it as well.
Laura - Dec. 31, 2023, 2:15 a.m.
These curry pockets are terrific! Recipe scaling worked perfectly so that we could make leftovers. Spot on flavor profile and spice balance. We added minced serrano peppers to our dipping sauce for a little extra heat. Will make again.
PUL Team - Jan. 3, 2024, 2:48 a.m.
Yayyy we're so thrilled that the curry pockets are being enjoyed, Laura, thank you for the glowing feedback! š
Amanda - Dec. 18, 2023, 2:59 a.m.
Insanely delicious! Loved by whole family. Used your pizza dough recipe for this and it was incredible. Iām exclusively cooking from the app! Gado gado for lunch, curry pockets for dinner. Thank you for making my life so much easier!
PUL Team - Dec. 19, 2023, 3:53 a.m.
Thrilled to hear your family enjoyed the curry pockets, Amanda! Using the pizza dough is a brilliant idea. We're so glad the app is making your cooking journey easier too! Here's to more tasty adventures together šš±
Rike - Dec. 16, 2023, 5:07 p.m.
I loved it! Incredible delicious. But could you make a video on how to fold the pockets? Yours look so beautiful!
PUL Team - Dec. 18, 2023, 4:14 a.m.
So glad the curry pockets were enjoyed, Rike! Perhaps one day we can share a video on folding. In the meantime, practice definitely helps š
Shanna - Nov. 28, 2023, 3:09 a.m.
Incredible flavor! I agree with the previous post about too much potato (they were good but soaked up all the sauce) and also struggled with pizza dough that wouldn't maintain its shape. Mine looked more like curry blobs than pockets.
I had a lot of leftover filling (maybe because my potatoes were too big?) so tomorrow I will make the leftovers with pastry dough instead. Thanks for a delicious recipe!
PUL Team - Nov. 28, 2023, 6:39 p.m.
Hey there, Shanna, thanks for taking the time to share the review! We're so happy that the curry pockets were enjoyed. We appreciate the feedback on the size of the potatoes to help us improve as well š
Molly Swanson - Nov. 9, 2023, 1:25 a.m.
These were absolutely AMAZING!! Now my boyfriend wants me to make these every week. I omitted the coconut milk because i didnāt have any on hand, and I also used phyllo dough because I didn't have pizza dough. SO GOOD!!!
Diane Schuller - Jan. 16, 2024, 6:05 a.m.
I love that you used phyllo dough. Iām going to use your idea.
Jennifer - Oct. 10, 2023, 4:44 a.m.
I made the curry without the pizza dough pockets and served with rice and naan. Tastes even better on day 2! For enhanced flavour, Iād suggest salting the water for boiling the potatoes. To the curry, I also added about 1/4-1/2 tsp coconut sugar at the end for flavour balance.
Melinda - Oct. 3, 2023, 1:01 a.m.
These were delicious, they travel well and really feel like a treat to eat!
Laura Defalco - Sept. 27, 2023, 9:58 a.m.
I love this recipe, Iāve had it a few time and my husband and I have a tag team approach which is very speedy. Instead of a carrot, weāve been using a frozen vegetables mix of peas, diced carrots and corn, it takes one step away from the process. Also I just noticed the built in timer in the āmakeā section. Love it!
PUL Team - Sept. 27, 2023, 10:06 p.m.
Oo tagging teaming is lovely to speed things up! Thank you, Laura š
Erin G - July 27, 2023, 3:35 a.m.
Amazing! This will be on regular rovino in our dishes. The sauce goes perfectly with the curry pockets as well. Thank you!
Rosalie - July 24, 2023, 6:23 p.m.

Rose - July 20, 2023, 1:46 a.m.
This recipe was perfect! I used the premade pizza dough that they sell here in the netherlands and it baked perfectly according to the instructions. the herb-combination was delicious! Me and my friends enjoyed it so much!
Much love to the whole Pick Up Limes crew! <3

Hi there. I made a version of this recipe (used BlƤtterteig instead). Was really delicious and best part is that I could control the portion size. The remaining curry was then used for a potato sandwich the next day š. All in all would definitely recommend this dish š
Madison Jones - July 12, 2023, 11:16 p.m.
This is delicious but I think itās too much potato. I recommend using 2 small potatoes instead of medium.
Julie - July 2, 2023, 5:42 p.m.
Colleen - April 6, 2023, 12:47 p.m.
This was absolutely delicious and so fun to eat. The yogurt sauce really complemented the already delicious flavor, and all 3 of my kids loved the meal! The one issue I had was that my pizza dough was very difficult to work with and didnāt maintain its shape at all like in the pictures. I used a ball of dough that I bought in a bag. Is there a better kind to use? I prefer the pizza dough to the puff pastry option mentioned. Thank you for this inventive recipe!
PUL Team - April 7, 2023, 8:59 p.m.
Hey Colleen, so glad to hear! It sounds like the gluten in the dough may have been tight. It often helps to cover and let the dough rest for longer and/or allow the dough to warm up to room temperature. You could also explore a different brand of dough if it keeps happening or making dough at home if you're interested. We have a recipe here if so: pickuplimes.com/recipe/homemaā¦
Thank you for your wonderful original ideas! These were great and even my difficult friend loved it. Youāre right, the curry is also good by itself. I have to say that I love that you give ideas for swapping different ingredients. Very helpful!
What a great idea! Iām a big curry fan but I never thought of putting it into a pastry shell. I gave it a shot and they were absolutely delicious ā¤ļø
