We took a couple of liberties in making a baked version of the staple South Asian snack. Soft dough is wrapped around a flavourful, perfectly spiced filling. It's paired with a herby spicy chutney. The ultimate combo! Ready-made pizza dough is a great shortcut, but if you have the time, it's well worth it to make your dough. May we suggest the PUL naan dough? It's perfect for this recipe! If you happen to find yourself with leftover filling, we also think it makes for a delicious sandwich, especially between two slices of buttered and grilled bread.

Incapable de former les samoussas. Je ne dois pas être douée. Le goût n'est pas très intéressant. Contente d'avoir essayé, mais ne pas s'embêter à refaire

Hi Marguerite! In case you're interested, you can add private personal notes on the app under the "directions" tab of a recipe ✨ Samosas can be tricky to form, so don’t feel discouraged. If it helps in the future, to form samosas more easily, ensure your dough is firm yet pliable, use water to seal the edges, and work with small portions to avoid overfilling. It helps to cup the dough in your hand while adding the filling for better control 🥰

Thanh you very much for PUL 🙏✨

I am making this recipe on repeat!

To store this in the freezer for two months, should I bake and then store or I should fill them up store and bake after taking them out the freezer?

Hey Preeti, you can do either! Freezing them unbaked means you can have a golden batch in no time, but freezing them after being frozen means they can be taken on the go and reheated at school or work 😊

Really enjoyed it. Especially with the sauce.

Can you please tell me, where to get in the Netherlands this kind of pizza dough you used? Because I bought some pizza dough and it was super thin, that I had to flap it to have a thicker layer 🥹
The mixture is perfect btw. I was just struggling with making a nice triangle with wrong dough heh

Hey Denisa, we get dough from our local store here called Albert Heijn, it's their house brand. We have used the refrigerated dough "pizza classiche pizza dough" and their freezer dough "pizza bollen klant en klaar". We also make pizza dough ourselves if we have time: https://www.pickuplimes.com/r… 😊

I haven't made this yet, but I was wondering if you can use pre-ground spices? I have a terribly hard time finding whole spices in the Japanese countryside.

Hey there, friend! Yes, you can use pre-ground spices for the samosas if you'd like. Ground spices cook more quickly than whole spices so you can add them all in the same step as the garam masala (step 4). Also, start with a bit less since ground spices are more concentrated. You can always add more to taste 😊
