Main

Pot pies are a savoury dish, with a saucy, substantial filling, and a flakey crust. Instead of the traditional pie crust, we made a curry-flavoured cracker to top our pies.

It is soooo goooddd!!! filling and comforting at the same time! I’m not the type of person to enjoy cooking, so I only made the soup not the crust to save time, but honestly this got me excited to make more recipes and try new dishes,,, it is soooooo goooddd ugh 😭

Gosh we're so thrilled to hear that the recipe was enjoyed and sparked some excitement for cooking, Hessa! We hope to share more delicious experiences together 🤗✨

It wasnt enough for 6 pies, only for 4... and it was not as liquid as yours, even though I cooked it with the lid closed.

I dont rate, because i made the crust dough with whole grain spelled flour and this tastes really awfull. I will make it with wheat flour again and comment.

Hey Michaela, thanks for sharing your experience with the recipe. I wonder if your ramekins may be a different size than ours? In case it helps, ours were 4-inch/10-cm (2-inch/5-cm deep) round ramekins. Depending on the size of the cauliflower, it might absorb more of the water while it's cooking. For reference, a medium cauliflower is about 580g, so for the original recipe we used about 145g of cauliflower. You can add more water if you would like a saucier dish, that would also help to fill up all the ramekins! We hope you try the recipe with wheat crust as well 🤗

The curry crust recipe sounds delicious. If I wanted to use it for crackers, at what temperature and for how long should they be baked?

PUL small logo PUL Team - Dec. 15, 2023, 7:40 a.m.

Hey there, Terry, we imagine you could bake the crackers on a tray at 350°F (180°C) for 10 - 12 minutes, or until they're golden. Just keep an eye on them 😃

Phillipa - Nov. 11, 2023, 1:16 a.m.

These were so good! The filling was like the vegetable pies I used to have as a child. I wouldn't change a thing.
Now I just need some uniform pie pots because I was having to make them in differing sizes to one another.

Aww love to hear when recipes connect with special memories like childhood 🥰 thanks, Phillipa!
