Hello, I'm having difficulty finding vegan pastry dough in my country, and I've noticed it's used in many recipes that interest me. I was wondering if you might have a recipe for homemade pastry dough that I could try making from scratch?

This is incredible good! I’m so impressed by the taste as it tastes actually very similar to feta in my opinion. Because I didn’t have refined coconut oil it at home I used 30g of olive oil. Seemed to work out just as well :)

Hi Sezen! You could use pizza dough instead of puff pastry, although the texture will be more bread-like. We'd suggest rolling it thinner, brushing it with a little olive oil, and baking at 200°C (390°F) for a bit longer, perhaps around 30–35 minutes depending on your oven, until golden. Let us know if you experiment with it 🫶

They tasted a bit too sour for me, I’m not sure why. I ate it with vegan mayo and raw cucumber, which helped neutralise it. Reheating them in the oven worked great!

Hey Tereza! It sounds like the lemon juice in the feta spread might have made it a bit too tangy. In case it helps, a lemon for us usually yields around 30 mL (2 Tbsp) of lemon juice for us. If you make it again, you could try using a bit less lemon or milder olives to dial down the sourness. Glad reheating in the oven helped though 🫶

This recipe is very tasty. The tofu mixture alone would also make a great spread to put on bread or use as dip. Don’t make the same wrong assumption as I that the spinach might not need cooking before baking 😆 - it does. The pinwheels were still delicious, just not pretty.

My daughter loves "cheese & spinach börek", so this one was a total hit. I've used sesame seeds for topping, because I just adore them on everything 😁
