Inspired by the timeless allure of Italian cuisine, this recipe is all about elevating your mealtime. The star of this dish is a creamy blend of silken tofu, nutritional yeast and lemon juice, all combined to create a luscious sauce that makes this dish deliciously creamy. The tomatoes are juicy and bursting with flavour, which pairs especially well with the chewy gnocchi.

Pretty meh. Not very tasty, the flavours feel flat and the beans don't seem to combine super well overall with the rest of the dish. But, hey, everything cannot be amazing all the time and almost all the recipes here are :)

This was incredible! My local shop was out of tofu so I replaced it with oat cooking cream and skipped the lemon juice and it was delicious.

Ohhh yum! Thanks for sharing your twist on the gnocchi recipe, Aurora 🫶

Personally, I believe that you can never go wrong with gnocchi, so I loved the dish, though I had some troubles with the sauce. In the end, it turned out pretty good though, so that's what matters!

This was super delicious! And even my 5 year old picky eater asked to make this again. We love this recepie!

The silken tofu mix has a weird flavour and kind of ruined the dish for us. I think we may have put too much lemon juice in.

PUL team: I'd like to suggest that lemon juice be listed by volume in all your recipes as opposed to the number of lemons. We use a lemon juicer, but I believe you squeeze them by hand.

Thanks so much for the feedback, friend, we're sorry to hear the dish didn’t turn out as hoped! We used to list lemon juice in tablespoons/milliliters, but many people asked us to include the number of lemons instead so they’d know how much to buy. Others found it a bit inconvenient to measure the juice, especially when squeezing by hand. So for most recipes where exact amounts aren’t critical, we now list it as half a lemon or a full lemon. For baking recipes or where precision really matters, we still include the volume.

As a general guide, a medium lemon gives about 30 mL or 2 tablespoons of juice when hand-squeezed. Hopefully that helps for next time. Wishing you better luck with your next dish 🤗✨

As a previous commenter said, not one of my favorites on this app, but still an OK recipe.

It was tasty and filling! Not my favorite recipe, but I still think I'll do it again!

Super delicious, quick and simple! I used soy cooking cream and nutritional yeast instead of the silken tofu sauce!

straightforward recipe - tastes very good and super filling! maybe I'd go for fresh herbs next time

Alisa - July 24, 2025, 3:30 a.m.

Delicious and easy to make! I added fresh herbs instead of the seasoning and it really helped! I was missing some protein though, so added a vegan sausage

Martunia - July 17, 2025, 4:48 p.m.

This was excellent. The flavor of the sauce, along with the spices, is pretty strong and is lovely mellowed out by the sweetness and freshness of tomatoes. Everything comes together really quickly, and one portion is more than enough.

Woohoo! Thanks for the glowing review, Martunia 🫶✨

This is SO good and filling. I will for sure be making this again.

Annie - July 13, 2025, 10:37 p.m.

This one turned out really nice and creamy while also being quick and easy to prepare! We served it with some toasted seasoned breadcrumbs and it worked perfectly. I can imagine some zucchini would be really good here as well (as someone else previously mentioned). I would maybe add a little less lemon juice, but it could be that my lemon was on the larger side.

So glad to hear it turned out creamy and easy to whip up, Annie! Toasted seasoned breadcrumbs sound like the perfect touch 😍

Delicious! Added some homegrown zucchini which worked really well.

Loved this recipe, very creamy and rich!

Rachel Craig - July 8, 2025, 8:18 p.m.

I have butter beans in a can. Do They need to be cooked some before I add them to this recipe?

PUL small logo PUL Team - July 9, 2025, 4:43 p.m.

Hi Rachel! Canned butter beans are already cooked, so there's no need to cook them again. Just drain and rinse them before adding them to the pan ☺️ hope you love the recipe!
