Wow, so yum! I was craving something hearty and warming, and I made hummus the other day: perfect simple recipe with such a complex and delicious taste!
I tried it with frozen spinach since I didn't have fresh, with olive hummus and I cooked the tomatoes on the stove for just a minute and wow, this dish is delicious!

A savoury porridge, what? That sounds wrong... But for science, I tried and I'm glad I did! It's so yummy and comforting, I'm not much of a sweet tooth and it's great to be able to change from the usual sweet oatmeal. I make it regularly. Once I didn't have hummus so I replaced it with scrambled tofu and that worked really well too!!
I make this at least once or twice a week and it is our absolute favorite. Everything in the plate has its own flavor and creates such a beautiful combination. Like to start my day with so many colors ❤️

Savoury porridge is so unusual, but this breakfast is great. The porridge base is packed with strong umami flavour, and it is a nice ‘background’ for the fresh or crispy toppings. I tried beetroot sprouts, the spinach (as per recipe😊), one half of an avocado and hummus at my first attempt. I did not add any hummus in the porridge while cooking, as it was already creamy and I was afraid of a bitter aftertaste

Hadn’t thought of making savoury porridge (oatmeal) before but I definitely enjoyed this! So filling as well and the spinach and tomatoes were a good combination with it.
