This savoury galette is a French-inspired dish, made with a thin, crêpe-like pancake made from buckwheat flour. The galette is often filled with savoury ingredients like cheese, veggies, and eggs. For our vegan version, we chose to fill it with veggies, vegan sour cream, and and vegan cheese. Enjoy this meal as a savoury breakfast, or as a delicious main course for lunch or dinner!

Th filling is great, i could not make a pancake that even remotely hold shape like yours did, but tastewise it is there. With the pancake i tried different pans nad temperatures, but nothing worked for me, so I ended up just putting my failed pancake at the bottom, filling on top and heated it up in the microwave. Again, tasted great and satisfying.

Hey Sara, we're so glad you enjoyed the filling! In case it helps for the pancakes, it can help to ensure that the pan is preheated. Also, using a non-stick crepe pan and spreading the batter thinly can work wonders 🤗

I made these for dinner on pancake day in the UK and we loved them! The buckwheat pancakes were so simple and easy to make and the filling was exceptional! The fact that this recipe made use of pesto blew me away (big pesto fan here! 🙋🏻♀️). Savoury pancakes will definitely be on the menu again. 😋

Swapped the snapped peas for frozen peas and it was a huge hit with the kiddos and hubby!

I absolutely loved galettes when I lived in France and really enjoy these as a quick, easy and delicious lunch. I swap the filling out for cheese and beans though!

Sticks like crazy in the pan, need a ton of oil to get it out and I used my cast iron crepe skillet I bought specifically for galettes, suggestion: let galettes dough rest at least for 4 hours

Hey friend, oh no! Making sure your pan is well-heated before adding the galette batter can help prevent it from sticking. We do find that cast iron can be a bit more sticky than modern non-stick pans if you have an alternative pan accessible as well. We hope you enjoy the galette more if you give it another try 🤗

Found it difficult to make the galette shape look right. More practice I expect. Buckwheat tasted nicer than regular pancake mix but not my favourite. Filling was 5/5
