Cook the pasta per packaging instructions until al dente, about 8 minutes. Then drain and set aside.
Meanwhile, chop the bell peppers, cucumber, dill, olives, and mince the red onion.
Add all the dressing ingredients to a bowl and whisk. If the dressing is too thick, add a splash of water. Taste test, and add more lemon juice, garlic, or salt if desired.
To a large bowl, add all the salad ingredients. Pour over the dressing and toss to coat. Garnish as desired. Enjoy!β
Storage
Store the dressing separately from the salad in airtight containers in the fridge for up to 4 days.

Great recipe, this will be a repeat for my work lunch menu! I used twice the amount of dill you used because I absolutely love dill. And I ran out of tahini half way so I ended up using half tahini, and half almond butter, and it was still creamy and fresh!

Really tasty and straightforward. Our 3 year-old ate loads of it too. We used gluten-free pasta but then stuck to the recipe. I think I'll take this one along to a group picnic later this month. Also great that it lasts up to 4 days in the fridge. I made double so that we can have it again this week.

Whoa! Amazing vegan salad alert! Brought this to a camping potluck where it was received with RAVE reviews. I added a small handful of soaked cashews to the blender to cut the tahini a bit and subbed pickle juice instead of red wine vinegar. Also added diced spicy radishes - yum!

I love the pasta salad, but the dressing turned out to be a little too sour (too much lemon juice). Also the tahini taste overruled everything. However I used the right amounts of the ingrediΓ«nt. How can I make it less sour?
PUL Team - July 29, 2022, 5:30 a.m.
Hey Annelies, thanks for sharing your experience with it - how disappointing! Sometimes larger lemons have more juice in them which can make dishes sourer, or spoiled lemons may give a more bitter flavour as well if you think this was a possibility. To help in the meantime, adding a touch of baking soda can counteract acidity. Alternatively, a little bit of sweetness from syrup or sugar can help mask bitterness. We hope this helps for now π

Apologies in advance; I'm the annoying person who always comments on recipes asking for a substitute for the bell peppers due to allergies! Do you think cherry/grape tomatoes would work well as a substitute in this recipe? I'm keen to try this with high-protein pasta as I think it'd make a very satisfying lunch. π
PUL Team - May 24, 2022, 5:17 p.m.
Oh Danielle, please don't apologize! It is not annoying at all and we applaud your flexibility with recipe modifications. We'll note down an idea to list substitutes for bell pepper and other vegetables where possible.
Cherry tomatoes sound like a delicious substitute! We've had several positive reviews with both cherry tomatoes and zucchini in this one π

Melody - May 20, 2022, 1:08 a.m.
This was nearly perfect but I think I needed a few more spices or a different one. The cumin gave it a bit of a more bitter taste than I wanted. I kept adding more salt to taste, and fresh ground pepper, but I think using a replacement for cumin might be better for me. Any recommendations on what would work? Everything else about it I loved, so I'd still recommend anyone trying this--there was just a teeny bit missing for me and I can't place it. Love the channel and the site! Look forward to eating ALL THE THINGS!
PUL Team - May 20, 2022, 1:21 a.m.
Hey there, Melody, thanks for sharing your experience with this one. Do you usually use the cumin in other dishes without the bitter taste? We find that using fresh spices is super helpful to avoid bitterness so if your cumin is older or not used frequently that may be one possibility. If an alternative is desired though, perhaps ground coriander or chili powder are two ideas π
Melody - May 20, 2022, 1:50 a.m.
This is a relatively new bottle -- but I will pay attention the next time I use it to see if I still have the bitter taste. And I love the chili powder idea, and will check out coriander too! Thanks!
Danielle - May 24, 2022, 3:10 p.m.
Melody, could the tahini possibly be the culprit? I find that when I make recipes that call for more than a tbsp or two of tahini, they can sometimes turn out a bit bitter, despite using high-quality unhulled tahini. If it turns out that the tahini is the culprit, you can always try substituting with cashew or sunflower butter. π

Hey Jane, we love bringing this one to school or work for lunch π We recommend storing it in the fridge with the dressing separate from the pasta and veggies to keep it saucy, and stirring in the dressing the day of if possible. You might find it dries up if mixed longer than that π

hello PUL ! I wanted to make this recipe for lunch today but I only have almond butter left, and I'm afraid the taste will be weird ? What do you think ?
PUL Team - Feb. 14, 2022, 3:02 a.m.
Hey Agathe! Did you end up testing it out already? We haven't experimented with it, although imagine it could work. One idea may be to add less to almond butter to start. We can always add more to taste or add water to desired consistency. Extra lemon juice, garlic, or spices could also help balance out the flavours if needed π

Hi Pick Up Limes team,
This dish looks so wonderful, but I don't have fresh dill at this moment.
Can I use dried dill instead? And if yes, how much dry dill should I substitute for fresh dill?
Best regards :)
PUL Team - Feb. 3, 2022, 5:22 a.m.
Hello Florentina! You can omit the dill if you don't currently have any on hand. If desired though, dried dill can be used too. It's more concentrated in flavour than fresh dill so we'd recommend starting with less to start, such as a 1/4 cup or less. You can always add more to taste! If you have any other fresh herbs on hand such as basil, chives, or parsley that could be used too. We hope this helps for now π

Hey there, Rose! Thanks for the question. You can use the dried dill weed if that's more accessible. It will be more concentrated in flavour so we'd recommend starting with less. You can always add more to taste! Some other alternatives may be omitting the dill altogether or substituting it with a different fresh herb such as basil, chives, or parsley. Oh my goodness this was delicious! This is the first recipe of yours that I have made despite the fact I save nearly all of them. Iβm trying to be more βplant forwardβ this year and I enjoy your recipes. I was a little hesitant about tahini but since most of my vegan content creators use this I had to try it. Amazing! Funny thing however, I forgot the chickpeas and the olives! The two ingredients I was most excited about. Iβll just add them when I dish up my bowl for lunch tomorrow. Next time I will use the check off feature on the site when I make this again. I didnβt read the part that mentioned to store the dressing separately. I hope itβs still good tomorrow
A couple of adjustments I made (besides forgetting the chickpeas and olives) is I made it with chickpea pasta and left out the oil since Iβm trying to cook oil free. The chickpea pasta was wonderful!
Cheers!

Fresh is better flavor but I always buy dried dill because I can never use the fresh before it goes bad. I would just make it ahead with dried so it can sit in the fridge for a while before eating. That way it has time for the flavors to meld. Btw I cannot wait to try this recipe! Sounds amazing!

While I can't speak for the entire salad recipe, I have to say this recipe's dressing saved what was about to be a pasta salad disaster! I was making a pasta salad (my first time ever) to take to a friend's for a grill-out and had made the entire salad part, but when it came to the dressing it was 50% sugar and 50% mayonnaise and 100% disgusting. I'm not sure why our American pasta salads feel the need to be SO unhealthy. So yummy! I used celery instead of onion. Thank you so much for the great recipe :)
Fun to make! I don't even like olives, but this is amazing!!!
The taste is nice but it is not one of my favorites. It is too high in calories for me as well due to the huge amount of tahini
We added some sun-dried tomatoes. It was delicious. We will definitely do it again β₯οΈ
Whoa! Amazing vegan salad alert! Brought this to a camping potluck where it was received with RAVE reviews. I added a small handful of soaked cashews to the blender to cut the tahini a bit and subbed pickle juice instead of red wine vinegar. Also added diced spicy radishes - yum!
Absolutely perfect recipe! This was so delicious, I decided to add this into our summer recipes! Thank you very much β€οΈ
A tasty twist on pasta salad! Love the tahini dressing, which I added a bit of maple syrup to. I don't like olives so I topped it with toasted pine nuts and dried cranberries instead. π Definitely one to make again!
This is one of my favourite recipes ever.
I often use green olives instead of kalamata (kalamata olives are not available at the nearest supermarket) and apple cider vinegar instead of red wine vinegar. I also add less lemon juice (about 2 tablespoons)
Thank you!
So yummy, refreshing, and filling (without sitting uncomfortably in my stomach)! I used chickpea-based rotini for a bit of extra protein and it still turned out great :)
This was amazing! A really refreshing dinner on a hot day

Probably my least favorite recipe I've made from PUL: don't get me wrong, it was still decent, and definitely healthy, but the dressing/sauce was definitely lacking something. And I don't dislike tahini, so it wasn't that...
Tahini & pasta π€― Next time, I am doubling the veggies π₯ π«, and adding some πΆοΈ . Other than that π§βπ³ π
Love it, could not stop eating. The dressing makes a huge difference, I also used chickpeas pasta I had on hand. π
This was the first pick up limes recipe I ever cooked and has been my favourite pasta salad for years now! Itβs tangy and fresh, perfectly balanced with the creamy tahini. It feels comforting and yet bright and nutritious with all the fresh ingredients, I just absolutely love it!
Super tasty
I was using tahini for the first time and this was such an easy and tasty beginner's meal!
Itβs good! But the taste of tahini is strong, if your not a big fan βΊοΈ
One of my favourite salads ππ
So creamy and tasty. It's a hit with my one year old too, so this will make our rotation as a healthy on-the-go lunch for us.
ππ»ππ»ππ»
Very good I liked that there is no-oil
I've tried this a few times now everyone loves it, the sauce is just so indulgent π Today I had to sub the dill with parsley and basil but still an absolute winner, thank you π
One of my fave PUL recipes!
So good!!!
Easy and delicious π
Two whole peppers was too much. I'd just use one next time. Other than that, super delicious. Thanks!
Absolutely DELISH!! Going to be saving this one for many dinners and gatherings in the future!
So delish! Great for summer meal prep. Love the fresh dill flavor and the depth of the tahini dressing. We had some extra pickles, so I chopped those up and added them, too!
This was amazing! So easy to follow! So convenient with the timer, to add minutes on when your pasta hasnβt quite gotten Al dente yet! I love this app so much. Thank you for creating it.
Perfect next to the bbq in the summer. Itβs always the most popular salad on the table
Superbe recette estivale
This pasta salad is a game changer! It is so tasty, filling & easy/quick to make! The perfect lunch π The sauce is so creamy at delicious and the dill works so well! The flavours and textures are amazing. Thank you so much PUL for this recipe - I will be making it on repeat! β€οΈ
All time favourite. Quick, delicious and perfect for summer
I made this pasta salad along with the loaded avocado & hummus vegetable sandwiches for a couple different options at a group lunch. So many people commented how great this recipe was, led to lots of people interested in this app and recipes. I didnβt have paprika for the dressing so substituted chilli powder and it worked great! Thanks for these amazing quick and easy recipes!
This is really really good.
I made this with white beans instead of chickpeas, and it was incredible! 10/10 will make again.
Great recipe!
I made a load of this for my lunches this week and I love it! So wholesome and filling - I added a bit of vegan mayo to it to make the sauce go further. Will be making again for sure!
Usually I love all your recipes but this one was just not it. Maybe I just don't like dill (first time I've had it), but with the dill and the combination of everything thing else I just couldn't stomach this dish. I took like five bites and after that I had to throw it away. If you don't like dill I would not recommend you make this.
Sooo, delicious. Again. I really love your recipes: the flavours, colours, fully packed with veggies and proteins, but also the ingedrient measurements (cups and metric)... as well as photos and video support. π
iβve made this i think four times now and wow. itβs great for meal prepping for the week! so many of my friends love it. it makes a lot of servings too. highly recommend!
Love this. So easy and so flavourful. Thanks π
I loooove this salad. It became one of my favorite soul-foods! And It's quick to make and lasts long, so it's perfect for food-prepping for stressful weeks<3<3<3
It never occurred to me to add tahini to pasta but now I'm never going back. It is so creamy and wholesome. I love it!
This salad is seriously addictive. I've made it multiple times now and I even once eaten the whole thing of 4 servings in one sitting π
I made this pasta dish and it is one of my all time favorites - the dressing is everything!
I shared it with my non plant based friends and they agree, this is a must try!
Made this for a picnic and it was a huge hit! Delicious and really easy to make, thanks so much for the recipe β€οΈ
Thank you for this delicious salad! I made it today with green olives and it was absolutely delicious -all stars! ππππ
Thank you so much for this recipe. It's really simple to make and delicious!!!
This recipe really deserves 5 stars. Healthy, quick and filling. Also perfect for meal-prep!
This is hands down my favorite pasta salad recipe. Looooove the Mediterranean flavors (everything works so well together) and will add this tahini dressing to all my salads in the future. The only change I made is doubling the olives and cutting back on the bell pepper, only cause Iβm obsessed with olives. Thanks so much pick up limes for this delicious recipe!
Had to add this to my meal prep list this week because it looked too good and we had all ingredients. We really like the dressing too.
I am learning that these servings are very generous though- I think next time Iβll use only 2 cups dry pasta. In the meantime, lots of yummy leftovers is not a problem.
Absolutely perfect and a way for me to incorporate fresh dill into my diet.
DELICIOUS!!!
Sooo good!! Thanks for sharinh all the substitutes- really helpful!
I added carrots for a bit of crunch too π
Love your site btw! Most interactive and easiest to follow. Thank you!!
This recipe is the meal-prep champion I've been looking for! Not only was it incredibly easy to make but it's such a clever way to get plenty of veggies in on my mid-day meal. I swapped whole-wheat pasta for chickpea pasta for my first batch. :) Definitely planning on bringing this to family bbqs in the future! Thanks so much PUL team!
Perfect refreshing meal on a warm sunshiny day!
I love the pasta salad, but the dressing turned out to be a little too sour (too much lemon juice). Also the tahini taste overruled everything. However I used the right amounts of the ingrediΓ«nt. How can I make it less sour?
A delicious pasta salad recipe and very easy to throw together. I use red lentil pasta to boost the protein content.
Super yummy!
So yummy. My favorite pasta salad recipe, i make it frequently!
LOVED this meal. So fresh and great for summer! Next time Iβll add more cucumbers and less onions. Definitely make this!
One of our favourites for mealprep lunch
Hi! Would it still taste good without the red wine vinegar? Iβm not able to eat vinegars of all sorts. Thank you!
Extremely delicious and flavorful, plus it comes together super quick! A family favorite and will be making the rotation during summer gatherings!
This is my absolute favorite pasta salad! It's so easy to make and everyone always loves it. I love meal prepping this salad for work as well.
I make this almost every week for my non-vegan family and they love it! Perfect this time of year with fresh dill from the garden.
I love to make this pasta salad and take to share on a picnic! Definitely a crowd pleaser.
I love this salad! It's super delicious and easy to make!
Apologies in advance; I'm the annoying person who always comments on recipes asking for a substitute for the bell peppers due to allergies! Do you think cherry/grape tomatoes would work well as a substitute in this recipe? I'm keen to try this with high-protein pasta as I think it'd make a very satisfying lunch. π
Loved this salad! It's so filling and yummy, the tahini sauce adds such a great flavor to the veggies and pasta!
Just made this for lunch and wow!! I loved it! I recently started to add dill to my meals and this recipe is perfect!! I also used chickpea pasta for this recipe since I didn't have chickpeas on hand! But still so good!!
Hi I am going to make this tonight, but I do not have dill. Is it ok if I use some other herb like parsley?
This is an amazing recipe, so much so we pretty much have it on a weekly basis for lunches. Usually I add in some extra salad veggies (whatever we have in the fridge) but leave out the olives (Husband not a fan) and the red onion (I'm not a fan) - Super super tasty and so easy and simple to throw together ready for the next day. Highly recommend :D
Yummy. Next time I'll add less vinegar, but that's a matter of taste. It was delicious and this tahini dressing will be used with other ingredients too :D
Prepped this for my lunch this week. I used edamame pasta. Love the ease in making it and it is quite a filling lunch. I did add more lemon. Bright and delicious.
Superb! A tip is to make the dressing in a jar, shake it to combine and then it's ready to store :)
I made this pasta salad with some crushed nuts instead of chickpeas, it's very delicious:D I really enjoyed the flavor of the tahini dressing. Thank you!
Lovely recipe! Can I take this to work/school? Do i have to refrigerate it? Thank you!
A delicious salad! I didn't have chickpeas but put in edamame beans instead and used fennel, mint and coriander for herbs. Thank you!!
I love this salad, although I altered it some! Iβm not an olive fan, and my boyfriend doesnβt care for chickpeas, so we did artichoke hearts and white beans. Great stuff.
I live in S Florida, USA and it's always hot here except for 2-3 weeks, maybe 4 if we're having serious cold fronts. π so I am always looking for refreshing meals. This was absolutely one of my favorite that I've done now twice and about to do again. I share with my family who is not vegan and they love it. Thank you for putting all this content out there. I use to hate the kitchen and now I'm starting to see the appeal :)
I made this for my husband and me and we ate it for lunch for days without tiring. It was delicious!!
Amazing recepie!! Loved itπ₯°
The dressing is delicious and very versatile! It makes it very easy to adapt and adjust the pasta salad for taste and available ingredients.
Really tasty!
Our daughter made this recipe and that was absolutely delicious!!! The sauce was creamy and so unusual ! We ate this dish twice this week !! And we're not tired of it !
hello PUL ! I wanted to make this recipe for lunch today but I only have almond butter left, and I'm afraid the taste will be weird ? What do you think ?
So so so soooooo good. Fresh and nutty. Definitely a great recipe! Thank you for sharing it :)
Love this super simple wholesome and delicious salad so much! It's so quick and easy to make and the tahini dressing is truly fantastic! Thank you so much Sadia. π
Hi Pick Up Limes team,
This dish looks so wonderful, but I don't have fresh dill at this moment.
Can I use dried dill instead? And if yes, how much dry dill should I substitute for fresh dill?
Best regards :)
Didnβt have any dill, but still delicious! My teenager even approves!
Do you have any recommendations for a nut/ seed butter that can be used instead of tahini? This looks delicious but I'm allergic to sesame :(
I also just prepared the salad and haven't consider using dill for so long. I guess, I'll use it more often from now on :)
Made this salad today and it was outstanding! Explosion of flavor in your mouth⦠Everyone loved it!
So hard to find fresh dill around here. May I use dill weed? I got it in a jar from a store. Thanks :)
I am absolutely obsessed with your website, and everything you do. Can't wait to try this recipe. It looks heaven!
I substituted the cucumber for zucchini and added halved cherry tomatoes. So good, my 7 year old son had 3 helpings!! Thank you for the inspiration :)
I usually prefer pasta warm than cold/room temperature but this pasta salad is so so good! I find it makes a brilliant meal prep for future days (dressing stored seperately of course) and the addition of kalamata olives is a real bonus. Love the colours, love the flavours!
Delicious!!
So delicious! Itβs easy to make and is now one of my favourite lunches for work
yesterday I made this for me and my family. it was easy to make! we enjoyed it so so much! this morning we all fought to take the leftovers to work/school. thank you for this amazing recipe!
The sauce is delicious! So simple but so amazing
Yummy! Was surprised how good the tahini dressing was
This is so delicious and will be a go-to lunch for us! I just finished a bowl and should probably have anotherβ¦
Thanks for a great recipe!
Yum! Love the tahini as I am always on the lookout for ways to use it. Ended up sending it to my mom telling to to make it! Thank you!
I had to add some spices to keep this from being a little bland for me but it was still an easy recipe to adjust to my taste. It provided me with a quick, easy lunch for a number of days and left me feeling good. Super important as I am an ICU nurse and feeling good after a meal helps me with the long hours and mental demand. Thanks for the recipe. I will be making again.
Cheers!
This was delicious! Will be a staple of weekly lunch meal prep for sure. More pasta salad recipes please!
Wow - made this today and fell totally in love with it! I'm a fan of pasta salads as they're usually quick to toss together, and this one is no different. The flavour it gets from the sauce is unreal - it might just become my new go-to π
Sadly couldnt find fresh dill, but tried it without and that was already a succes. Very yummy and will definitely try with dill (if i can find in the future)
Delicious! I love the unctuous tahini dressing and the freshness of the dill. Made it exactly as the recipe describes it.
Iβm always so impressed by the meals from PUL. They seem so simple and easy but are loaded with flavor and this pasta is no different! Soooo yummy!!
Made this as a tester to see if I would like it , you know the saying it looks better then it taste π But not this OMG π³ it was delish!! Now I know what Iβm prepping for lunch for the next 4 daysβ¦
Loved it, even hubby commented on how good it was, as he thinks Vegan food canβt be tasty, so we may have a convert. Keep posting lunch time recipes as brilliant for working people . Can wait until you develop an app.
Thank you Sadia for all the time an effort you put in to developing these meals. Truly gifted.
Just did this recipe like 5 minutes ago. Itβs so so good. I really try to eat plant based as much as possible and this was amazing. I added basil and chilli powder as well as some other fried herbs and itβs so good. Itβs also incredibly easy.
Love everything you do!π
Tried this out for Sunday lunch with my family, and it was so simple, yet refreshing. I mildly sauted the bell peppers before adding them to the salad since I do not like them raw, but even otherwise was such a simple yet satiating and delicious lunch. As with everything else I eat, however, a little dash of sriracha made it divine! :)
Easy, delicious, and budget friendly! I really enjoyed how versatile this recipe is. We had almost all of the ingredients already in our fridge/ pantry which was awesome! Thank you PUL Team!
I made this pasta salad with basil today for lunch and it tasted amazing. Looking forward to making it with fresh dill as soon as I figure out where to get it.
This was also my first time having the tahini dressing and I loved it. Thank you for the recipe <3
So this is not a comment on the recipe, though I have no doubt it will be amazing, but on the website. This is the cleanest, most functional recipe website I have ever seen!! Even the ad placement is so subtle, it didn't annoy me like 99% of all other websites. Everything you guys do is of such amazing quality :)
I love pasta salad but I have never made it before I saw this recipe yesterday, made it today for lunch, I only had chickpea pasta, also added some dijon and edamame, gotta say it was amazing π»
βΊοΈ thanks for this yum recipe
My kids love this for school packed lunch. It's great to make a batch and last a few days.
This is my go-to easy dish when Iβm heading to a cottage or a party. It always impresses everyone including those who eat meat! Iβm not a big olive lover so I swap those for chopped pickles and I add chopped grape tomatoes too
So refreshing and delicious! There's no video for this recipe but it isn't hard at all, anybody can do this. I would recommend it to anyone who loves pasta salad or tahini-inspired flavors - it's the perfect blend. I honestly don't eat pasta salads ever but this I will definitely make over and over. ALSO, this new site is AMAZING, just had to point that out.
I was a little wary of mixing tahini with pasta salad, but this really works so well! I've meal-prepped this for lunch a few times, and I totally recommend trying it out. Thanks for another great salad recipe!
Luckily, I know I can always count on Sadia and her amazing team to have something that is sure to be not only incredibly delicious, but also nutritious. This pasta sauce is really good and saved the dish! (Thanks, team!!)
We are using your recipes for our meal prep each week. We are so happy with all of your recipes, this one is perfect for summer. We love your new site, it is very feature packed. Congrats !
Just made it. It is glorious :)
I learned from the iced coffee episode that many comments were lost when you launched this amazing new website! So I'm adding one here to let you know that we LOVE this pasta salad. Your recipes were truly a lifeline to me and my husband when we decided to go vegan back in 2016. As I'm looking through this new site and all the new recipes since then, I just can't believe that such a beautiful and free resource exists! Thanks for all you do to bring health to our homes and communities, Sadia. Much love, Lacy in Los Angeles
The simplicity of the preparation of this meal is what made me try it out. Simple and yet delicious! I have very fond memories of trying this recipe with my housemates. We even added diced apples and was yummmm!
What a lovely summer evening dinner! We are not a big fan of tahini so we swapped half of it for cashew butter (home made as you taught me). It resulted in a very creamy, protein-rich dressing. Thanks for this tasty recipe!
I find I'm not a big fan of the bitterness of tahini so if I were to make it another time I'd reduce that ingredient to a tablespoon maybe.
Yum! So easy and easy to pack for events away from home. So good!!!
Wow this pasta salad is the boss! Sooo tasty! Thank you Sadia. You are the best ππ½ππ½ππ½
This pasta salad is superb, and so easy to make! I used chickpea pasta for a gluten-free twist and added extra dill, and wow, it's just perfectly and delightfully nourishing. This recipe will definitely be a new staple for me! :)
