That color is everything 😍 I think it's worth adding 1/4 tsp salt more than in the recipe, but maybe it depends whether your curry spice has salt in it already. Also, I'm not sure if broiling the lemon makes much of a difference. I did it and honestly I can't taste the lemon any differently.

Probably best to add a pinch of pepper to get the most out of the tumeric. I love the flavour and the colour.

This hummus is so amazing. It really is a beautiful blend of flavors that you will not find in any store bought variety. This is one of those dishes that really are better when you make them yourself and the flavor combinations for this hummus just can’t be beat.

the best hummus i have ever made!!!! soooo yummy! thank you for the recipe and congrats on the engagement!
For anyone unsure how to "cook chickpeas"- I boiled 1 cup dried chickpeas in 2/3 tsp baking soda and alot of water. I boiled it for an hour and half until very soft/mushy :)

Such a big compliment, Arya! Thanks for the insight as well 😊

Just made this and it is absolutely delicious! I added a small handful of baby spinach in there too because why not.
Will definitely be making again :)

Miriam - April 29, 2021, 7:35 p.m.

I made this hummus on the weekend and had it in my wraps and on my roasted veggie bowls and it was really nice! It's a nice alternative to the traditional hummus recipe I keep making. Thanks!

Thank sounds so yummy, Miriam! So happy you enjoyed the hummus ✨

Louise Magnusson🇸🇪 - March 22, 2021, 9:19 a.m.

This hummus is interesting and spicy (not hot, but aromatic!) in a good way. I was actually more sceptical about the lemon flavour, which became too bittersweet for me, than the turmeric. I used cumin instead of curry powder to maintain a classic hummus flavour in the background

PUL small logo PUL Team - April 1, 2021, 10 p.m.

Thank you for sharing, Louise! Using cumin sounds delicious. To help with the bitter flavour in the future, you could try experimenting with a bit of sugar or adding more salt 🙂

Louise Magnusson - April 1, 2021, 10:05 p.m.

Thank you for the tip!! Extra salt sounds like a good option, especially when the canned chickpeas that I use don’t contain added salt
