Something about the crunchy fresh veggies and barbecue sauce dressing didn't do it for me. Ah well! I'm going to try a different dressing on my leftovers and see if I like it better

PUL small logo PUL Team - Jan. 31, 2025, 2:20 a.m.

Hey Ashley, we're sad to hear this! Sometimes a different dressing can make all the difference. We hope you find one that hits the spot, and enjoy our other recipes more πŸ₯°

Lilli - Nov. 19, 2024, 8:41 a.m.

Love it! I didn’t have any bbq sauce and used a Mexican salsa - worked perfectly

Emma Grace Woolsey - Sept. 15, 2024, 3:44 p.m.

Loved it!

Yanic Zunke - Sept. 1, 2024, 7:47 p.m.

Another great receipt !

Louise Magnusson - Aug. 6, 2024, 10:32 p.m.

Not my cup of tea, unfortunately. The smoky sweetness of the barbecue sauce is too overpowering, and it suppress the freshness of the veggies😞. I think that the barbecue sauce on the chickpeas is a great way to achieve crunch, but as an ingredient together with coconut yoghurt does not work. It is a nice salad in terms of veggie variety, and I would like to experiment with a different dressing

PUL small logo PUL Team - Aug. 8, 2024, 5:50 a.m.

Hey Louise, oh shoot! We're sad to hear this but appreciate the feedback to help us improve πŸ™Œ I wonder if it may be related to the type of yogurt used? Some plant-based yogurts can have a very pronounced taste. In case it helps, we use the Alpro brand typically. In any case, happy experimenting! 😊

Poiven Capp - July 30, 2024, 5:58 a.m.

very good! I think I easily could have doubled the amount of chickpeas and been happy. the barbecue sauce dressing was new for me, I liked it the first couple times but as I worked through the leftovers it started to get a bit old.

Georgia Rose - July 4, 2024, 1:40 p.m.

Adored this recipe.. I didn't have BBQ sauce so I added siracha and it was divine!!! This app is so good. Love love love!!!!

PUL small logo PUL Team - July 4, 2024, 1:51 p.m.

Yayyy thanks for sharing the love, Georgia!

Kari Brock - May 8, 2024, 2:23 a.m.

Delicious! Love the toasted walnuts in this recipe. The recipe could use a little editing like "drain and rinse chickpeas" and the corn is missing from the "make" feature so I was making the salad and got to the end and saw there was corn in there but it wasn't listed on the first page of prep work. I figured it out though. Wonderful recipe and will make again!

PUL small logo PUL Team - May 8, 2024, 11:13 p.m.

Hey Kari, thanks for sharing your experience with the recipe! We chose not to mention draining and rinsing the chickpeas in case someone decides to cook dry chickpeas instead of using pre-cooked canned ones. The corn you can also see listed in step 5 of the 'make' step-by-step cook-along. I hope this helps for now! Thanks so much for your feedback, we're always looking to improve what we do! πŸ™Œβœ¨

debbiejo - April 24, 2024, 8:04 p.m.

Made this for a pack lunch for work, was quick to make and tastes amazing! Love the app too

phoenix - April 20, 2024, 12:23 a.m.

Loved this! Was honestly even great the next day.

Kim Tee - April 17, 2024, 9:43 a.m.

Superb! I added tempeh bacon and used buffalo sauce in the dressing. Add flatbread, and this is a tasty meal for two. Reminded me of the salads I used to get as a kid at the Pizza Hut salad bar, so extra star for nostalgia.

PUL small logo PUL Team - April 17, 2024, 4:43 p.m.

Mmm love the idea to add tempeh bacon, Kim! It's so special when recipes connect with us πŸ₯°

Kristina Galic Vranjes - Feb. 26, 2024, 3:16 p.m.

Great recipe, but I guess on step 2 when making it should say " add all of the cooked chickpeas " instead of roasted ones.

PUL small logo PUL Team - Feb. 27, 2024, 9:34 p.m.

Hey Kristina, we actually meant all of the roasted chickpea-related ingredients, such as the chickpeas plus the add-ins like oil, barbeque sauce, and spices. In case you haven't seen already, clicking the red "make" button opens step-by-step cook-along instructions that list the ingredients for each step aπŸ€—

Kristina Galic Vranjes - Feb. 27, 2024, 9:49 p.m.

πŸ™ˆ tnx 😁

Bibi - Jan. 31, 2024, 5:48 p.m.

So tasty! For BBQ lovers like me this is heaven 😍

Bruna Muller - Jan. 29, 2024, 8:11 p.m.

Amazing!!

Anna - Jan. 7, 2024, 9:06 p.m.

Overall it was good but not my favorite simply because it was too sweet. Next time I would make the BBQ sauce from scratch instead of a store bought one or find one in the store that contains much less sugar.

Zoe - Jan. 7, 2024, 9:50 a.m.

Delicious, but slightly sweet for me so added flakes salt on top. Would reduce bbq sauce slightly next time. Super easy.

Lauralyn - Dec. 20, 2023, 8:41 p.m.

Delicious! I love the tangy dressing and how well it pairs with the veggies and chickpeas. Only change I made was to add some pickled jalapenos. I will definitely be making this again!

PUL small logo PUL Team - Dec. 21, 2023, 7:03 p.m.

Woohoo! So happy to hear, Lauralyn, thank you ☺️

Lisa - Dec. 8, 2023, 12:53 p.m.

Delicious πŸ˜‹

Just a few notes:
-According to the recipe the tomatoes should be halved, but on the pictures they are quartered
-When prepping the veggies while the chickpeas bake it takes only 25 minutes :)
-The recipe is supposed to make 4 servings, but I'd say it's like 3 servings (but maybe me and hubby only eat a lot πŸ˜‚)

PUL small logo PUL Team - Dec. 9, 2023, 3:49 a.m.

Hey Lisa, thanks for sharing your experience with the salad. We're so happy it was enjoyed, and your insights are super appreciated! We've adjusted the cherry tomatoes to say quartered. As for the servings, I totally agree if you're enjoying it as a main meal. For this recipe, because it doesn't contain a grain, we've only tagged it as a 'salad' and not a 'main', and as such, we figured it's a recipe people would enjoy as a side salad to their main meal, so we opted to input it as 4 servings. You're always welcome to enjoy more of course if you're enjoying the salad as your main course. Thanks so much for sharing your experience and helping us improve what we do! 😊

Neen - Dec. 4, 2023, 7:17 p.m.

My chickpeas exploded in the oven lol (everyone safe, dinner also safe). I wonder why...

PUL small logo PUL Team - Dec. 5, 2023, 9:19 p.m.

Oh goodness, Neen, we've never had that happen before! Do you happen to know which oven setting you used? If you used a combi-microwave-oven with the microwave setting turned on, it can happen that the chickpeas explode due to the evaporation to the water that's in them. In caase it helps to know, we used top-bottom heating (no fan, no microwave-assistance). It could help to cook them at a lower temperature or for less time next time. Glad everyone and the oven are okay πŸ€—

Neen - Dec. 7, 2023, 2:05 p.m.

Thank you for the tip! I used my traditional oven that has inbuilt ventilation. I set it up at 180Β° top/bottom. I did some research and I think it's because I didn't dry them properly after rinsing, so it could have been water...

Jen Neurohr - Dec. 3, 2023, 5:11 p.m.

This is the first recipe I tried from the app! It was delicious and really easy. I roasted the corn on the stovetop while I waited for the chickpeas to cook.

PUL small logo PUL Team - Dec. 4, 2023, 3:59 a.m.

Woohoo! Thanks, Jen, we're excited to continue this culinary adventure together πŸ€—

Sigrid - Oct. 17, 2023, 4:06 a.m.

Delicious! Easy! Light but full of good nutrients. πŸ‘πŸΌ

Chelsea D - Oct. 13, 2023, 3:25 a.m.

Very good! Make sure you roast the chickpeas on a large pan and spread them out so they get crispy!

Brooke - Oct. 6, 2023, 9:41 p.m.

Quick, easy, packed with flavor, this is going to be a new regular meal for me! I’ll probably increase the amount of chickpeas a bit in the future.

kaylin - Oct. 3, 2023, 2:52 a.m.

So easy and tasty!! Perfect for lunch

Yamini Harsola - Sept. 17, 2023, 11:11 a.m.

It becomes a little too sour for me!
But adjusting the lemon juice makes it perfect!

PUL small logo PUL Team - Sept. 19, 2023, 5:37 a.m.

Hey Yamini, we've heard another review with the same feedback so we've just reduced the lemon a tad. Thanks for helping us improve!

Lise Bouwsema - Sept. 5, 2023, 8:28 a.m.

A super simple salad that tastes like a super deluxe meal that took you a long time to cook; that's winning! I often throw in a red onion and some other vegetables I still have in the oven as well, delicious!

PUL small logo PUL Team - Sept. 7, 2023, 1:41 a.m.

Love the addition of red onion! Thank you, Lise πŸ€—

Amanda - Aug. 29, 2023, 2:14 a.m.

Loved how quick and easy this was!! I just prepped all the other ingredients while the chickpeas were in the oven and then threw them on top of the salad. Super yummy. I didn’t have a coconut yogurt on hand, only a Greek style yogurt. It ended up being a smidge too tangy with the lemon so I recommend going with what they put. But it was still delicious for how easy this recipe is!

Victoria Sullivan - Aug. 26, 2023, 3:14 p.m.

Such a quick and easy dinner with incredible flavors. My partner and I could not stop commenting about how good it is! I will be making this again and again. Thanks for sharing, PUL!

inga - Aug. 26, 2023, 7:07 a.m.

The salad is full of taste and surprise :) amazing!
