Directions
- Combine all of the pizza dough ingredients in a large bowl and mix until well combined.
- Transfer to a floured surface and knead until you have a smooth, firm dough. Add a sprinkle of flour if too wet, or a small splash of water if too dry.
- Cover the dough with a clean kitchen towel and let it rest for about 20 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 430°F (220°C). Add the cauliflower florets to a lined baking tray.
- In a small bowl, mix together the BBQ sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Pour half of the sauce over the florets, and toss to coat. Reserve the other half of the BBQ sauce for later. Bake the florets for 20 minutes, flipping once halfway.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the pizza sauce ingredients.
- Lightly coat a work surface with flour. Divide the dough into two balls, as this recipe makes two large pizza crusts.
- Use a rolling pin to roll out the dough to the size of your baking tray - ours was 25 x 35 cm*.
- Divide the hummus-based pizza sauce over both pizza bases, and spread it out evenly. Leave about 1 cm around the edges of the pizza uncovered for the crust.
- When the cauliflower is removed from the oven, pour over the remaining BBQ sauce. Toss to coat.
- Divide and distribute the BBQ cauliflower florets over top of both pizzas.
- Bake the pizzas in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the crust is lightly golden. Rotate the position of the pizzas in the oven once at the halfway point.
- Meanwhile, combine the yogurt, garlic, and salt in a bowl.
- When the pizzas are ready, drizzle some of the garlic yogurt sauce on top, and sprinkle with sliced green onion, if desired. Enjoy!
Notes
- †Self-rising flour is regular all-purpose flour, but with baking powder, and sometimes salt added to it. Self-rising flour can be found at most grocery stores located near the regular flour.
- †We used spicy hummus, but you could try other flavours that are available to you.
- †Nutrition tip: aim to use a plant-based yogurt that is fortified with calcium.
- * If the rolled pizza dough isn't cooperating - either because it's not moulding into the shape you want, or if it rips - simply knead it a few more times until smooth, and try again. Keep your surface and rolling pin well-floured, so it doesn't stick.
Storage
- Best to enjoy immediately.
- The pizza can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Much better than normal pizza!
My entire family loved this pizza (including an individual who is not a fan of hummus!) This recipe is a must try, and I'll definitely be making it again. I didn't have green onion on-hand so I substituted fresh basil which also paired well with these flavors.
Was a little skeptical, but it turned out really good! Didn’t even need the yogurt sauce, but it was a nice addition ❤️
perfect twist on a classic pizza (i love adding sweet corn too😋)
PUL, you did it again! This pizza is amazing!!! We had to make our crust gluten free, since my wife has Celiac. Since gluten free baking can be a little fickle, we made the crust first and partially baked it before following the remaining steps, and it turned out perfect. For anyone who needs a gluten free crust, I highly recommend the King Arthur’s brand for gluten free flour options. We also opted for garlic hummus in the pizza sauce, which was delicious. I think switching up the hummus would make this recipe really fun when making it again.
One of the best pizzas I've ever had, it was just great in taste and rather easy to make. I didn't have any hummus and I substituted it with more tomato sauce. It was just excellent, can't wait to prepare it again!!
I'm not really a hummus lover, but this pizza has been one of the best ones I have tasted!
I just made it and ate one entore pizza all by myself, it was that good! It has also been my first time ever cooking with self-raising flour. Mine had salt in it and in the end the pizza crust turned out a bit too salty with the salt added as per the ingredient list (next time I'll skip it).
We didn’t add the yoghurt sauce, but this was so yummy! So easy to make and my son enjoyed helping making the dough. I think this could be a family favourite!
I love this one! So eager to dig in that I forgot the sliced green onion on the counter top....
This pizza sauce is everything. Love it!
Kids and I Cooked for dinner tonight. Everyone enjoyed it.
Made this for dinner tonight and it was amazing! Thank you for the amazing recipe.
Seriously so good! I never would have thought to use hummus on a pizza but it works, and the bbq cauliflower is so scrumptious.
My mind is blown with this pizza sauce!! And topped with the BBQ cauliflower ... just amazing.
Made this for my family and it was a huge hit! Despite that fact that I was missing key pizza crust ingredients, so my crust came out super tough. The toppings, especially the hummus, were so good that no one cared and it was demolished in one sitting!
So good! It's m'y new way to eat an healthy pizza ! Thanks for this recipe and it s Indeed affordable.
I can't wait to share this pizza with m'
y friends and talk about your work ;)
Going to make this. Is it possible to freeze the dough?
Would love a whole video on pizza recipes/ideas or vegan cheese recipes! I end up missing cheese a lot.
I really love this pizza! BBQ chicken pizza was something I missed when I stopped eating meat and this really fills that craving. I often throw on some red onion or pineapple (for a more tropical vibe) and it is always tasty.
Very flavourful, satiating and satisfying. The pizza crust is thin but the slices don't flop under the weight of the ingredients. The prep time was a bit longer, but not much given that we made a pizza home!! :) The portions turned out to be large enough to make it for dinner.
I have a sort of a silly question! I don't care for cauliflower very much, but I love the sound of all the sauces and flavors in this recipe. I guess I'm wondering how much you can taste the cauliflower, and is there another vegetable that would work equally well? Thank you so much!
Another Winner!
The Mixtur with the creamy Sauce underneath and the tasty cauliflower was delicious.
Again my neighbour profited from it, too.
Creamy and crispy and spicy at the same time.
IT's not only budget friendly but a real comfort food. For rainy days highly recommendet.
Mind-blowing!!
This is hands down the best homemade pizza that I have had the fortune of making. It was just so intensely flavorful and wonderful!
This pizza was delicious! I didnt miss the cheese at all. I'm not vegan but i've been tring to eliminate dairy. To find a pizza that tasted amazing without cheese was a win! The base was so creamy, and we had it with sliced avocado on top. Yum!
This was sooooo good! My husband and I really loved it. Can’t wait to have it again tomorrow! I esp. liked the pasta sauce! Creative..
We absolutely love this pizza! It's a staple for us! To switch it up, we trade out the bbq sauce for the buffalo sauce recipe found with the "buffalo style tofu sticks" recipe and it is -- amazing!!
Love all the falvour combos for pizzas you've got here Pick Up Limes! Would love it if you guys could come up with a pizza dough recipe made out of cauliflower or another vegetable please?!
Wow......just WOW!! I'm absolutely in LOVE with this recipe! (I think I became slightly addicted to it, lol.)
Wow, I wasn't expecting to love it THIS MUCH but I do. Goes really well with hot sauce or ramch if you feel like it!
This is surprisingly good! There are so many different flavors and textures in this dish, but they go together amazingly! Such a unique flavor! Think I’ll make it again soon.
I love this pizza sooo much!!! My boyfriend and I make it all the time!
This pizza is a winner! I absolutely love it. It's full of flavour and feels healthy without compromising on the feeling of having fastfood. ❤️
My husband's grandpa was told by his doctor that he needs to eat better and that he needs to eat more vegetables. I served this to him and told him how packed full of veggies it really was. As he took his next bite (he didn't even want to stop eating to talk) he said "my doctor would like you."
so so flavorful and fun!! loved making this with my (non-vegan) family, who enjoyed as well 🤎
This is the most AMAZING and Delicious dish I have ever had. I loved how easy and simple it was to make and it turned out so so well. I send this recipes to all my friends and family. You have an amazing following from Ontario, Canada. Thank you for your outstanding recipes. Never stop making them:)
I didn't make this particular recipe, but I finally made your hummus pizza sauce and OH MY GOD! It was so fluffy and flavorful (I used roasted garlic hummus). It turned my simple homemade "cheese" pizza into something premium. It was the best pizza I've ever made!
This is my husband's FAVORITE meal. He now asks for it regularly, and asked me to make it for his birthday! So easy to make. Also, always make your own hummus for this. It gives a whole new level of amazing.
First time visitor. I think I am going to enjoy your site. For the yogurt topping for the pizza do you have a dairy free alternative?
The bomb! So good. We have storebought cauliflower pizzacrust.
I made this recipe last year and it worked pretty good. Even though the dough was a little hard, I still enjoyed the meal.
I didn't had any cauliflowers left, so instead I just used broccoli, which made the pizza very tasty.
Thanks for sharing your recipes Sadia and the team of pickuplimes!
