Delicious!

Dóra Iván - Feb. 4, 2024, 3:41 p.m.

Anyone tried to make these in an airfrier? My oven is broken, and as I hardly ever use it I don't want to buy a new one just for these. 😅

PUL small logo PUL Team - Feb. 4, 2024, 7:30 p.m.

We haven't but do let us know if you give it a try, Dóra! Be sure to adjust the cooking time and temperature according to your air fryer's settings for a crispy texture. Perhaps someone else can share their experience too 🤗

Dóra Iván - Feb. 4, 2024, 7:33 p.m.

All righty, I'll be back with the info in about an hour. 😁 Thank you though!

Dóra Iván - Feb. 4, 2024, 8:30 p.m.

Ok, so I have to say that Ledour Louise was right: it was sooooo liquidy I had to make it into a latke kind of thing! 😁 It was still amazing, but air frier was out of question. Pick up limes: are you sure about that 1 cup of water? Third of it would have done the trick or even less.

PUL small logo PUL Team - Feb. 4, 2024, 10:12 p.m.

Thanks for the update and helping us improve what we do, Dóra. Are you sure you drained the lentils for the falafels, we are not adding any water for these. Let us know if you give them another go! 😊

Dóra Iván - Feb. 12, 2024, 11:10 a.m.

I did drain the lentils, yes, but in the description you listed 1 cup of water to add to the falafels. I did add that and it came out as a soup. :D

PUL small logo PUL Team - Feb. 12, 2024, 6:47 p.m.

Hey Dóra, oh goodness - apologies for the confusion. We are not seeing the description you are talking about, so maybe there's a glitch in the system. Could you perhaps send a screenshot of the page where it says to add the 1 cup of water to support@pickuplimes.com? Thank you in advance!

Dóra Iván - Feb. 13, 2024, 5:19 p.m.

Ok, you're not going to believe me, but it's not there anymore! 😁 I had to restart my phone for installing new software and it's gone. I swear it was there! Anyway, problem solved. Sorry to harrass you with it. 😅

Sofia - Nov. 20, 2023, 9:16 a.m.

Looks absolutely delicious! Have anyone tried to put them in the freezer? (Thinking of making a giant batch.)

PUL small logo PUL Team - Nov. 21, 2023, 9:10 p.m.

Hey Sofia, we haven't tested it out so we're not confident about it but we imagine freezing the wraps seperately could work. For the wraps, separate the each with a layer of parchment paper, and make sure it's in a well-sealed bag or container.

For the falafels, It's likely best to cook them first, then freeze them in a single layer. When frozen, transfer them to an airtight container to freeze for up to 1 month. When ready to enjoy, reheat in a pan or the oven 😊

Kristin - Feb. 26, 2024, 11:54 a.m.

Hi! I put them in the wraps in the freezer and it worked out very well. They might not be as fluffy as when made fresh but definitely still delicious. I heated them in the oven for 2-3 minutes :-)

Mila Bechtler - Sept. 10, 2023, 12:56 a.m.

Loved them. Easy to make.

Louisa Watkins - Aug. 23, 2023, 2:20 p.m.

Actually prefer these to chickpea falafels 👌🏻

Ledour Louise - Aug. 18, 2023, 7:38 p.m.

I’m pretty disappointed with this recipe! I put 3* because I love the app and dont want to put less but this was a big miss for me! The falafel were uneatable and I checked three times to understand where I missed or if I forgot an ingredient. I think it might be that I didn’t put the drained water in the falafel base but it says to drain it in the recipe so it’s not supposed to have water does it? This part is a bit unclear. For the wraps I love the idea but I thought it lacked detailed and it was really hard to succeed! I made one that was good and like the pictures after a lot of fails 🙈

PUL small logo PUL Team - Aug. 19, 2023, 8:53 a.m.

Oh shoot, this is such a bummer to hear, Ledour! We're sorry for the disappointing experience with the wraps and appreciate the honest review to help us improve. It sounds like you followed the recipe correctly, you were indeed supposed to drain and discard the water, and therefore only add the soaked lentils for the falafel base. Did you base come out too dry? Might you be able to share more on why you didn't love them (was it the taste, the the texture?) - we'd love to help find a solution! 🙌

Inge Oudheusden - Aug. 11, 2023, 8:25 p.m.

Do you wash the lentils beforehand?

PUL small logo PUL Team - Aug. 12, 2023, 8:18 a.m.

Hey Inge, yes, we rinse our lentils to help remove any dust or impurities that might be present 🙂

helena widdows - Aug. 2, 2023, 1:57 p.m.

Absolute winner! Thank you for all the hard work you guys have put in . It was really worthwhile. Been trying to master those darn lentil wraps for a while and it all worked !!! Much love x

PUL small logo PUL Team - Aug. 2, 2023, 4:57 p.m.

Aw thank you so much, Helena, you're too kind! Much love back 🤗

Ambra - July 3, 2023, 2:56 p.m.

I think you meant “lentil falafels” in the first ingredients section, not “lentil wraps”. hope it helps 😊
Anyway, the recipe is very mouthwatering, I can't wait to try it! 🤩

PUL small logo PUL Team - July 4, 2023, 4:35 a.m.

Oh goodness - great eye, Ambra! We've fixed this typo thanks for bringing it to our radar. Hope you enjoy the recipe 💛

Bett S - April 28, 2023, 5:42 p.m.

When I made this recipe I found that adding all the water made both falafels and wraps too soggy. Next time I will use less and I add more if needed. Thought might help someone else to know this :)

PUL small logo PUL Team - April 29, 2023, 5:10 p.m.

Thanks for the feedback Bett, and sorry to hear it was soggy. The falafel batter is indeed rather wet, but it offers moistness to the falafels and should dry out significantly when baked. If not, continue to bake until it firms up nicely. I hope this helps if you make the recipe again 😊
