Mathilde - Sept. 23, 2024, 4:40 p.m.

This looks delicious! Can I use something instead of beet? I don’t want to make a mess 🙈

PUL small logo PUL Team - Sept. 23, 2024, 11:14 p.m.

Hey Mathilde, one of our team members replaces the beet with extra carrot, and a reviewer Kristy also made a similar adjustment so that's one idea to consider! Other ideas include grated sweet potato, zucchini (give it a squeeze after grating to get rid of some extra moisture), or pumpkin for a similar texture and a bit of sweetness ✨

Lauralyn Busekrus - Sept. 10, 2024, 2:35 a.m.

So good. I love that it makes a good portion - perfect for meal prep!

Charlotte - Aug. 31, 2024, 10:10 a.m.

This burger was absolutely delicious! Sometimes I find lentil burgers can taste a little bland but this one exceeded expectations. I love this recipe and will undoubtedly make it again in future!

freddy - July 2, 2024, 5:13 p.m.

The best lentil burger I’ve had 🙌

PUL small logo PUL Team - July 2, 2024, 5:14 p.m.

Delicious!

Karin - Dec. 7, 2023, 10:58 p.m.

So delicious! My husband ate 4 patties! Love the app too, it’s amazing! Quick Question: I didn’t see where to add the flaxseed in the Directions? Also mine were so soft, do you know where I went wrong? Many thanks for a yummy recipe that I will for sure make again!

PUL small logo PUL Team - Dec. 9, 2023, 2:56 a.m.

Hey Karin, so happy the burgers were enjoyed! The flaxseeds are used in Step 1 with water to form a gel-like substance, and this gelled mixture is added in step 4. We've updated the recipe steps to make this more clear.

For the patties being soft, just to double check, did you substitute any ingredients in the recipe? For example, red lentils can get quite mushy when cooked compared to brown lentils in case these were used. If not, cooking the patties for longer can help them crisp up more 😊

Devika Rani45 - Oct. 15, 2023, 12:34 p.m.

I’m really trying to eat healthy and maintain good protein intake. This particular recipe is amazing for batch making and freezing. Best recipe ever!!! Love all your recipes ❤️❤️

molly - Oct. 11, 2023, 8:45 a.m.

Itwas so delicious and I felt like having a burger at the restaurant . I followed the recipe step by step and the measurements were just perfect.

Ivanna - Oct. 3, 2023, 12:36 p.m.

I want to try the recipe but I’m allergic to flaxseeds. can I use ground chia seeds instead? and how much should there be? thank you a lot!🙏

PUL small logo PUL Team - Oct. 5, 2023, 5:40 a.m.

Hey Ivanna, you can use an equal amount of ground chia seeds in place of the ground flaxseeds. We hope you enjoy the burgers if you're able to give them a try 🙂

miranda - Sept. 10, 2023, 5:29 p.m.

Very very tasty!

Kris Cicena - Sept. 6, 2023, 10:13 p.m.

They turned out so good! Thank you!

Honey - Aug. 28, 2023, 3:42 p.m.

These are my first veggie burgers ever!
I made them last night and subbed the remaining for pumpkin seeds as I ran out of sunflower seeds. Trial tested one. It was good but it needed just a little more seasoning so I added a dash more spices and added an extra spoon of sesame oil for flavor and texture.

They held up really well! Topped it with vegan cheese, Vegan Mayo, Ranch, Spinach, Tom, and Onion. It was so juicy!

This is my new favorite burger…add sweet potato fries, a Nice Cold Kombucha, and it tops it with a chef’s kiss! 🤤🍔🤌🏼

PUL small logo PUL Team - Aug. 31, 2023, 6:31 a.m.

Oh we're so thrilled your first veggie burger was enjoyed, Honey! Sweet potato fries and kombucha is a lovely pairing 😍

Carolina - Aug. 3, 2023, 1:26 p.m.

Delicious recipe!!!!

Maryann Hreha - Aug. 2, 2023, 3:45 a.m.

Tried these for the 1st time today. The burgers were very tasty. I added toppings but they weren’t needed. I followed the exact recipe. Amazing!

Lina Sophie Knees - July 28, 2023, 9:33 p.m.

Made them into meat balls to have as a snack throughout the week or to put them into wraps. Really good for meal prep! :) taste amazing and are pretty cheap because the ingredients are on the cheaper side. I swapped almonds for pumpkin seeds because that’s what I had. Also worked great!

PUL small logo PUL Team - July 29, 2023, 1:33 a.m.

So happy to hear, Lina, thank you! Almonds are a lovely idea 🫶

Maja - July 28, 2023, 6:28 p.m.

Made these today, they turned out really well. Followed the recipe to the letter, although I doubled the quantity and ended up with 16 patties, the majority will go in the freezer. I would advice others though, to fry them longer than you might think, as they hold their shape better when they are more cooked. Guess it’s a bit like pancakes - the first one is always a flop, then you start to figure them out 😊

PUL small logo PUL Team - July 30, 2023, 7:16 p.m.

Hey Maja, thanks for sharing your experience with the recipe! We're so glad the patties were enjoyed 😊

Kristy - July 16, 2023, 8:42 p.m.

Really good! The patties held together nicely when cooked, and the texture with nuts/seeds was great! I made as written, with 2 exceptions: I didn’t have parsley so just omitted, and I didn’t have beet so just increased the carrot by 1/2 cup. I used the smallest shred disk on my food processor for the carrots. The patties are good sized, we ate 2 today, 2 (cooked) went in the refrigerator for tomorrow and 2 (uncooked) went in the freezer. My carnivore husband gave them 4 stars, and I’m giving 5!

PUL small logo PUL Team - July 18, 2023, 12:34 a.m.

Hey Kristy, thanks so much for taking the time to share your experience with the burgers! More carrot sounds lovely 😃

Lisa Maldonado - July 10, 2023, 1:05 a.m.

Yum!!!

It was hard blending in the food processor. I had to add a little water. But then it was fine.

Laka - July 9, 2023, 3:19 a.m.

So yummy!!! I used chia seeds since I didn’t have flax maybe that’s why it didn’t hold that well together after frying ..? Mix of almond and walnut I found to be 👍

PUL small logo PUL Team - July 9, 2023, 7:51 a.m.

Hey Laka, did you use ground chia seeds? If so and you're still finding the patties too wet to stick together, adding oats, breadcrumbs, flour, ground nuts or more ground flax/chia seeds could help 🙂 we'll keep an eye out in case other peoples experiences too in the meantime 🤗

Laka - Sept. 3, 2023, 1:03 a.m.

Thank you 🙏🏽 whoops no used whole chia seeds. Just made it again today with ground flax seeds and they are looking strong 💪🏽 this is my fav veg burger the red color makes it look like beef

Inna - July 8, 2023, 12:15 p.m.

Very tasty

Jess - July 5, 2023, 11:18 a.m.

So good even my fussy 6 year old loves it!

Dazza - July 2, 2023, 10:07 p.m.

Can these be used for frozen meal prep? Cheers

PUL small logo PUL Team - July 4, 2023, 1:54 a.m.

Hey Dazza, indeed! The patties, cooked or uncooked, can be stored in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 months 🤗

Sarah - July 2, 2023, 2:09 p.m.

PUL small logo PUL Team - July 4, 2023, 3:21 a.m.

Hey Sarah, yes this recipe uses cooked brown lentils ☺️
