Hi everyone, I just wanted to clarify if I should squeeze half of the lemon juice and if should zest that half a lemon and use it.

Thank you : )

Hey Tahir! Yes, we recommend squeezing the juice from half a lemon and zesting just that half. It's easier to zest before cutting, so we suggest zesting one half first, then slicing it and juicing it. Both the juice and zest add a lovely fresh flavour to the mixture! 😊

I use this as a base and experiment a bit with the ingredients. Its perfect! 😋
For example, I swap the dates with dried cranberries or use freeze dried strawberried

RUCHI GERA - Jan. 28, 2025, 2:59 a.m.

Hello. If I use cranberries instead of freeze dried raspberries.. do I use 13 Gm only? Thank you

PUL small logo PUL Team - Jan. 28, 2025, 3:19 p.m.

Hello Ruchi, dried cranberries could make the mixture stickier and less crumbly compared to freeze-dried raspberries. If you're set on using them, you can start with 1 - 2 tablespoons of cranberries and chop them finely. Reducing the almond butter slightly could also help balance the texture 🤗

Hey, since I cannot find dried raspberries in my country, would it be okay to use frozen raspberries? I really like raspberries, or must I substitute with other dried or frozen fruit?

PUL small logo PUL Team - Jan. 13, 2025, 3:53 p.m.

Hey Tanja! Frozen raspberries aren’t ideal for this recipe as they’ll release too much moisture, making the mixture too wet to hold together properly. It’s best to stick with freeze-dried raspberries or substitute with another dried fruit like dried cranberries or cherries for the best results. 😊

I love these as a snack! Unfortunately, my blend turned out to be slightly dry. They do hold the shape perfectly, however when you bite into them you can tell they are not as chewy. I tried adding a bit of agave syrup to have a bit of stickiness when creating the balls. Overall the flavour is very nice! I will definitely made these again, hopefully will turn up even better!

Hi Richarda, we're glad you enjoyed the flavour! Adding agave syrup is a great idea for extra stickiness. Next time, you could also try soaking the dates in warm water for a few minutes to add some moisture 🤗

Angélique - Jan. 8, 2025, 9:15 a.m.

In the fridge for up to two WEEKS, right?

PUL small logo PUL Team - Jan. 8, 2025, 2:37 p.m.

Hey Angélique, thank you for catching this!🫣 Yes, two weeks in the fridge is correct! 😊

Anita - Jan. 6, 2025, 6:02 p.m.

So simple and delicious! Just one question - how much do the dates needed for this recipe weigh? I needed to sunstitute with other kind of dates and added 100g, they went out great!

PUL small logo PUL Team - Jan. 6, 2025, 8:32 p.m.

Hey Anita, thanks for connecting! One date on average for us is 22-25g so 8 Medjool dates in this recipe are around 175-200 grams. Feel free to adjust based on what you have on hand and your preferences though 🤗

Ah, it's been a while since there's been a new energy ball recipe! ☺️ Excited to try this one out!!
