If you’re new to green smoothies, this is a great one to start with. The almond butter and banana make it creamy and rich, the date adds natural sweetness, and the greens blend in so smoothly you won’t even taste them. Just five ingredients and a few minutes are all you need.

Really good and creamy! Had a bit of caramel taste to it, which I loved.
Great to finish leftover spinach too, since I tend to have everything else on hand.

Not a big fan of banana, what other fruit could I use?

Hey Zaza! Banana really does a lot of the heavy lifting in smoothies when it comes to creaminess and natural sweetness. If you’re not a fan, a good alternative is frozen mango or frozen pineapple for sweetness, or frozen berries work too, but they’re less creamy on their own. That said, we haven't tested this recipe with those subs so can't say for sure how well it'll turn out.

If banana isn’t your thing, you might enjoy some of our other smoothies instead. In the app, you can use the filter feature to search for “smoothie,” then scroll down and exclude “banana” to see all of the banana-free options. A few of my faves you could try are the Mango Spinach Smoothie, the Green Pineapple Smoothie, and the Blueberry Breakfast Smoothie. All are naturally sweet, refreshing, and completely banana free. I hope this helps for now :) And happy new year!

I bet 1/4 to 1/2 an avocado would be good. Might need 2 dates though since the banana gives sweetness also.
