Candela - Nov. 3, 2024, 11:30 p.m.

I’ve added sour items to my soy milk / almond milk before and that results in coagulation. I’m afraid this can happen with this recipe. Has anyone faced this?

PUL small logo PUL Team - Nov. 4, 2024, 2:20 p.m.

Hey Candel! We haven't experienced that personally with this recipe. Citrus can sometimes cause curdling due to its acidity when added to soy milk, but blending it all together with other ingredients like banana and almond butter should help avoid this effect. If in doubt though, use the almond milk you mentioned - that doesn't have the protein that causes curdling, so it should be fine 🤗✨

Amazing - one of my new favorites!

Alexis S - May 25, 2024, 10:11 p.m.

This smoothie really did scream Orange Creamsicle! It was just a little too sweet for my liking though.

Freya Chase - May 17, 2024, 6:50 a.m.

This smoothie had me 😊

Kelsey M - May 11, 2024, 12:06 a.m.

I love trying all your smoothies, and so decided to give this one a try. Just wasn't to my taste - But now I know I don't like orange and banana together haha. I'm sure others will like it :)

Kiarra O - April 19, 2024, 2:22 a.m.

Delicious! I didn't have almond butter, so I subbed half cashew butter, half sunflower seed butter and I loved it! Very forgiving recipe. I'm not really one for measuring, so I just threw the ingredients in the blender in whatever portions and it still came out great. (I keep frozen cut bananas in the freezer and I had a small blood orange instead of a normal sized regular orange.) Not a combo I would've done before, so glad for the idea!

PUL small logo PUL Team - April 19, 2024, 7:27 a.m.

That sounds like a tasty improvisation, Kiarra! It's wonderful that the recipe turned out well despite the substitutions. Enjoy your creative twists 🤗

Martunia - April 10, 2024, 9:38 a.m.

I had a double portion of this for breakfast. I sneaked in a cup of arugula for those leafy greens that I just can't get enough of 😅 Very tasty and easy to make 😋

Nicole Mostofa - March 22, 2024, 12:43 a.m.

This was nice. 🍊🍌

Ashley Labadie - March 21, 2024, 5:33 p.m.

Delicious.

Alex - March 16, 2024, 8:59 p.m.

This one was unfortunately not for me. Idon't have almond butter so I used peanut butter and that's all I could taste. I am not a huge fan of the taste but we have a lot so I need to use it up. Next time I am going to go for half tbsp instead to see if that works. If I can find almond butter I will try that instead or leave it out completely. I love creamsicles so I won't be giving up on this recipe :p

PUL small logo PUL Team - March 18, 2024, 11:51 p.m.

Hey Alex, sorry to hear it wasn't to your liking! Indeed almond butter is milder in taste than peanut butter. Peanut butter does have the ability to become quite dominant in taste, so almond butter would be the best bet if you can get your hands on it 🤗

Taylor Currie - Jan. 24, 2024, 4:22 a.m.

Reminds me of an Orange Julius 💖 I added some protein powder to mine. Will make again!

soraya - Jan. 11, 2024, 6:04 p.m.

I was thinking of omitting the almond butter to decease the calories. Will this affect the taste?

PUL small logo PUL Team - Jan. 11, 2024, 8:37 p.m.

Hey Soraya, the almond butter indeed helps mellow the sweetness and add a hint of nuttiness. You're welcome to omit it if you'd like though 🤗

Chrysiida - Nov. 14, 2023, 4:34 p.m.

Tried it twice already and I personally prefer to juice the orange because the ones we have here have pretty thick pith, but it was great either way!

PUL small logo PUL Team - Nov. 15, 2023, 1:09 a.m.

Thanks for the tip, Chrysiida! 😊

soraya - Jan. 28, 2024, 12:14 a.m.

Agreed. I had a navel orange and should have removed much more pith, but I think juicing would be better. Unfortunately a lot of fiber is lost in juicing. I may also try another orange. Here in the US, the fruit and veg look beautiful but have little flavor. This was a challenge for me. The almond butter was really all I tasted. I added a little almond extract that really helped the flavor. I want to try to make it again. It’s very healthy.

I love this smoothie so much as it's so simple and refreshing! I started to make smoothies these days and this smoothie definitely motivates me into trying out more recipes 😆~

Marie - March 31, 2022, 10:24 a.m.

This is such a good smoothie! Basically all your smoothie recipes I always keep in mind for when I have guests over for breakfast. This reminds me of the german "cura maja split"-Icecream.

PUL small logo PUL Team - March 31, 2022, 10:19 p.m.

We're so glad it's being enjoyed, Marie, and love the connection to the recipe 😃

Louise Magnusson🇸🇪 - April 16, 2021, 10:05 a.m.

I have no idea what a Creamsicle is and I’ve never tried one, but this smoothie makes me very curious to try😄
The orange flavour is so intense! And the almond butter breaks through so well at the end👌🏻. Although a bit late, I’m so happy that I made this smoothie at the end of orange season (November-April, high season is during winter)

PUL small logo PUL Team - April 19, 2021, 1:51 a.m.

Hehe a creamsicle is basically an orange flavoured ice cream available in North America (perhaps elsewhere as well!) We're so glad you gave the recipe a try and left a review. Thank you, Louise 😄

Rebecca - March 22, 2021, 9:21 a.m.

I would definitely make this again although it didn't taste like a Creamsicle but that might be the type of orange I was using, I'll have to try it again this summer when oranges are in season.

PUL small logo PUL Team - April 2, 2021, 1:58 a.m.

Oo yes sweeter oranges in season may help with the flavour! We hope you enjoy it in summer, Rebecca 😀

Yaani - March 22, 2021, 9:02 a.m.

This smoothie with some avocado toast... seriously an amazing breakfast. Thank you for this!

PUL small logo PUL Team - March 31, 2021, 5:34 a.m.

Oooh that sounds delicious! Thanks, Yaani 😊
