Delicious! I agree with the first commenter that this tastes cookies & cream inspired! Yum!!

Just made it and I like it, but unfortunately, I also struggle with smoothing out the sesame seeds (blended everything at once). Will try a different blender next time. So it's pretty chewy, but that's ok for now. The taste is great though! I skipped the sesame oil. I could also imagine that it would be nice with a second banana or less milk so it gets thicker and more creamy, not as watery. I will do it again in a different blender and maybe with a second banana. or do you think it could also work with frozen zucchini, just to get a thicker, more smoothie-like consistency but keep the taste and sweetness of the milkshake?

Hey Nie Scha, glad to hear you enjoyed it despite the texture! We'd highlight recommend using a high-powered blender if possible (we've just added a note about this, and it case it also helps to know, we used a Vitamix). You mentioned "adding a second banana" though the original recipe does call for 2 bananas. Is it possible the second banana was missed, or perhaps you scaled down the recipe to 1 serving? In any case, adding more banana is a great idea for extra creaminess and sweetness. Frozen zucchini could also work for thickness and creaminess, but it won’t add sweetness like banana does. Hope these tips help for your next try! 🤗

I don't know if the seeds were supposed to be blended fully along with the rest of the ingredients, but as much as I tried, I failed. I ended up passing the smoothie from a sieve but it was a bit too much trouble for just a drink so I don't think I will be making it very often...

Hi Chrysiida, thanks for trying the recipe! Indeed, the seeds are meant to be blended along witht the other ingredients. Although there might be a slight graininess, it should blend to a fairly smooth consistency. Blending sesame seeds can be tricky - using a high-speed blender can work wonders, but straining through a sieve is a lovely workaround. In case it helps, using freshly roasted sesame seeds can also help them blend easier in case you give the recipe another try 😊

Absolutely delicious! Has a “cookies and cream” taste and texture to it, this is going to be my new regular dessert 😋
