Lovely and refreshing but substantial enough that it makes a satisfying meal. I love the brightness of the citrus and mint mellowed by the avocado and coconut milk. I some of the orange zest for a little more punch, and I didnβt have a banana so I added a bit of vanilla protein powder and some ice, but Iβm sure itβs delicious as written.

It was so good, like a very sophisticated dessert in a cup. You can feel little touches of coconut, dates, banana, avocado, and none of them are overbearing. So well balanced!

Yayy thank you, Mauricio! We're so happy that the green smoothie was enjoyed π₯°

I used blood oranges so my color was not as vibrant. But it still tasted good. Just not as pretty.

Hey Nicole, we're sad to hear! Did you substitute any of the ingredients or portions?
Nicole Mostofa - March 6, 2024, 2:19 p.m.
Busted! I must have. Will try again with all the exact ingredients.
Nicole Mostofa - March 7, 2024, 2:01 p.m.
Tried with all the right ingredients in the correct proportions and it was definitely a lot better. I do like some of the other ones a lot more than this one. π

I did orange, 2 mandarines, 1 date, sheep yogurt + milk epautre-noissette- best vegan milk tasting luke nutella without sugar added and 3 branches of frozen spinach ,adn it tastes awesome !! So if someone is out of avocados and banans and mint like me, go for it !! ;) Also great way to reuse the blender after your layered raspberry oats -yogurt -chocolate breakfast, as this one is so thick that cleaning it without making smoothie after would haev been a nightmare ;p

This is absolutely amazing, so creamy and the mint flavor is lovely. I actually used blueberries instead of an orange because I didn't have one, but I want to try it again when oranges are in season. Thanks so much for this delicious recipe!

Very creamy, and you truly do get a different taste combo each time you sip. When I made my single serving of this, I wished it was a bit cooler. This might be a silly question but what would be better, additionally freezing the avocado or the orange? One brings the body, the other the liquid. I would prefer not to add ice cubes to this one as it tampers with thickness.
Tania Allan - Aug. 9, 2023, 1:37 p.m.
I use Frozen avocado. I find they all go ripe at once so I peel them, cut them into quarters and freeze on a tray. Then I transfer to a freezer bag to use in smoothies. Hope this helps! Another thing I do to add cold creaminess is I add frozen cauliflower or cauliflower rice or frozen zucchini. They donβt change the taste at all. π
PUL Team - Aug. 10, 2023, 5:48 p.m.
Hey Linda, not a silly question at all, and thanks for the lovely suggestions, Tania! Freezing all of the above sounds lovely. Let us know if you give any a try, Linda π

I had kept my coconut milk in the fridge so it was thicker and the smoothie is thick in itself so I would probably swap with coconut water next time. Tastes good though and ideal for breakfast or smoothie bowls!

Holy thick and creamy! Really yummy. If you like a thinner smoothie maybe bump up the plant milk. I didnβt have mint so HD to leave that out. For the liquid I used 1/2 cup of my homemade almond/coconut milk rather than 1/4 cup can coco nut and 1/4 cup other plant milk. For the 1 orange I used 2 clementines. So pretty close but wish I had the mint! Next time π all in all very delicious and super luscious and creamy.

I've learnt from various Ayurvedic sources that it's not good to combine citrus fruits with non-citrus ones (eg: oranges and bananas). Will you please study further on that?

Just made this after tiring of my own Berry Green Protein smoothie after 3 years. I love the flavors, and that those ingredients are always available to me. Iβll try adding brown rice protein powder and psyllium husk next time to boost the protein and fiber content. Thanks for a delicious new, easy, healthful start to our day!

PUL Team - Aug. 30, 2022, 3:10 a.m.
Hi Luci! Smoothies tend to separate and slowly brown when stored so we'd recommend storing the smoothie ingredients unblended and blending closer to enjoying if possible. If you do want to store it though, airtight glass jars work better than general cups usually and giving the glass a good shake may help re-mix the smoothie π
