Perfect on a hot summer day
So refreshing :) loved it
Side dish of my childhood!
Thank you!
Hi, did you remove the lentils and rice recipe that's on the background in these pictures? I can't seem to find it anymore and I really loved it. Thanks for your help
Simple and easy 🥰 just love it with a generous amount of high quality olive oil ☺️
Just made Salazar Salad and it was absolutely delicious,I put in chopped fresh mint instead of dried,we had it with marinated lamb and couscous,a big hit!!!
Super fresh !

Suuuuper good!
I make this salata all the time! It is my go-to side salad, and it genuinely pairs so well with so many different meals. I really appreciate this simple but tasty recipe!
Simple and tasty. I had it with gulpea for lunch today.
This is one of the most satisfying recipes we have adopted lately. Wonderfully simple, fresh and somehow, despite the awesome quantities of olive-oil, still not "heavy".
Thank you for your clear calm directions and your expert delivery... that is half the pleasure. My wife loves it even more than I do. Personally I am thinking of introducing a bit of minced meat to create a kind of "mousaka-salad"... (yes, I know... sacrilege ! )
From Afghanistan to Morocco salata is salata. It is amazing this little side so lite and fresh is so endearing. It is late spring or early summer. My wife would say how good are you knife skills small pieces we are from Fez. Than she would make these works of art with romaine lettuce dotted with black olives no dressing until you are ready to eat. Putting a sprinkle of salt comes with warning to eat now or it will turn to mush. As an American I used it as topping on rice ergo my new favorite word fusion. The ingredients are simple smaller cut pieces are better but the combination is amazing.
Who knew something so simple could taste SO refreshing and delicious! I eat this all the time alongside rice or sauces to add some freshness to the dish.
My mother and I eat this all the time! One of our favorite light lunch dishes. Incredibly refreshing on a hot day and feels amazingly healthy in the body.
lovely and simple, I put some in a tortilla too
My goodness! This was so simple, and so delicious! (I did add diced red radish.) It was hard to believe in it's simplicity, but I am glad I tried it, and will definitely be adding this to our table on a regular basis.
I literally could not believe how incredibly delicious this salad turned out and will definitely be making over and over again!! My guests agreed and this was the first thing we ran out of. It is so simple and so delicious!!!
This is such a simple, wholesome and nutritious recipe. I am from India, and i think afghan food is so similar to our food! Thank you for sharing this, I ma definitely going to try it! 😃
I'm so happy I discovered your website! This salad is fantastic, the taste is amazing and is so simple to make! My kids love it so much that they ask me to make this all the time. I made two additions, a bit of olive oil and a few crumbles of vegan cheese on top. Thank you so much for posting all these delicious recipes!
Love this salad a lot, the veggies go really well with the spices and herbs ! I added it as a side dish to some of the other Afghan recipes and it was so good ! :)
There is a persian sallad that is exactly identical! :D
I made this tonight and it was easy, tasty, and soo fresh! A lovely side dish, especially for this time of the year! Thank you PUL team for the chance to try recipes from Afghanistan - you are spreading love and tolerance through people's kitchens for this beautiful country.
Love it! But couldn't resist adding a little bit of extra-virgin olive oil!
Delicious and simple with the dried mint, lime juice and salt being all that you need to enhance the flavour of the other salad components. Such a great accompaniment to many dishes! My boyfriend even ate it all and he doesn't usually eat much cucumber. 🙌🏻❤
Super simple and delicious and can be paired with salad greens, lentils! Yum
