Ingredients
-
-
2 Tbsp (12 g)unsweetened shredded coconut
-
¼ tspsalt
-
⅛ tspground cinnamon
-
2 cups (198 g)raw pecans
Directions
- Line a baking tray and preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C)*.
- Add all the ingredients (except for the pecans) to a medium bowl. Mix well.
- Then add in the pecans and toss to coat. Transfer to the baking tray and spread them out.
- Bake in the middle rack of the oven for 7 - 8 minutes, stirring once halfway. The nuts continue to cook even after being taken out of the oven, so be careful not to overcook. The nuts continue to harden as they cool. Enjoy!
Notes
- †Refined coconut oil is coconut oil that doesn't smell or taste like coconuts. If you prefer a distinct coconut taste, use unrefined coconut oil instead.
- * We used top and bottom heating (not fan-assisted/convection).
Storage
- Allow to fully cool before storing in an airtight container on the counter for up to 1 week.
- Store in the freezer for up to 1 month.

Frequently asked questions
Can I make candied pecans without an oven?
Using a stovetop is possible for candied pecan recipes. For best results, combine all ingredients except the pecans in a heavy-bottomed saucepan. Cook over medium-high heat until the sugar melts and boils, about 2-3 minutes. Stir in the pecans, then transfer them to a lined tray, spreading them out. Let them cool completely before storing and enjoying them!
Can I make candied pecans in an air fryer?
We haven’t tried making candy pecans in an air fryer ourselves, but we’ve heard it’s possible. As a start, toss the pecans with the coating, then pop them in the air fryer at 300°F (150°C) for about 5-7 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to promote even cooking. Before enjoying, let them cool to harden up!
Can you freeze candied pecans?
Yes, you can store them in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 1 month.

I gotta say, I was skeptical but these were beyond easy and turned out incredible! Paired them with the Lemon & Yogurt Parfait :).
These are lovely, made some for my brother who said it was like eating pecan pie but healthier (a big compliment as that's his favourite pudding!). I can never find refined coconut oil but found normal coconut oil or melted vegan butter worked instead for me
Sooo tasty! A great Snack!
A nice treat 😋
Tried the candied pecans, good, for me I like them a little more crunchy, next time cook about 10 min, I bet they would be very cooked in a convection oven
I really do love the serving adjustment feature of PUL website and app. I had leftover pecan pieces and was able to determine the ratio of ingredients to the grams of pecans I had. Very easy to put together and made for a great snack. Who needs to buy flavored nuts now? Not me! Thank you!
Sooooo GOOD!
These are some of my very favorites!!! A staple of mine the moment this recipe was shared.
I highly recommend trying these!

Delicious!!
Soooo good and super easy!
Love these! I might try to double the caramel mixture next time as I would like a bit more coating on the pecans but they are delicious :)
I made these once earlier this week and again yesterday, and they’re all gone already 😂 They’re so good and so easy to make I’m obsessed!! Both times I made them I had to leave them in the oven for about 10min extra, because after the recommended baking time the coating on the pecans was still wet. I’ll definitely be making these again (and again). I think a jar of these would be a super cute diy holiday gift. Especially for my brother because he keeps eating most of these when I make them 😂 Thanks so much for the amazing recipe! :)
Hi Sadia and PUL Team, I have been following your YT channel and blog for a few years now, but never commented.
I love your simple, easy going and beautiful (!) way of presenting recipes and since I also love to cook it is a great inspiration to try new recipes and add new tweaks.
I made these several times last winter and absolutely loved them! The weather is starting to get chillier again, so this recipe will be on my list again soon.
Thanks for all your recipes and sharing! Best wishes from Germany, Janna
Make these all the time, with various combinations of nuts! Great flavour and easy enough to make!
Such a great snack! Good enough to give as a gift as well!
This is a wonderful sweet snack on the go. This is one of the snacks I take to work for the 3 o’clock munchies to get me through until dinner. I also make a version with a mix of nuts and seeds.
I can't count how many times I've made this recipe. It's my favorite snack of all time. LOVE it!
These pecans are super delicious! I love the little hint of cinnamon, and they're really great to have with raisins!
Amazing!! The perfect balance between salty and sweet! This might not make it through game night tonight 😂
