it was really good and hubby approved. A real savory soup! I add some beans to it in my bowl for extra nutrition and serve it with bread.
The harissa spicyness differs where you buy it. I used all of the recipe and it wasn't even slightly hot. But I have had harissa from another store that was suuuperspicy. So use less first and add more to taste in the end.

Do yourself a favor and halve the amount of harissa to start, then add more if you want. Otherwise, risk involuntarily becoming a dragon.
I was worried this would be a really sweet soup, but was delighted by how savory it turned out. We paired it with sandwiches and my husband when back for more and bumped his spice up a bit. My 2yr old daughter and I thought it was just right. A keeper for us!

I am usually not one for spicy food, but this was truly amazing! I even loved the flavor the harissa sauce gave to the soup and I can't wait to use more of it in the future!
This soup is exquisitely smooth with a hint of sweetness, but fiery like a summer day in Marrakech. I love it! Instant favorite 😋 I enjoyed it plain tonight, but will add fresh parsley and yogurt to my leftovers, for more creaminess and coolness.
This was so satisfying, given that the ingredients are really basic! Easy and quick to make and it tastes great - especially with a ridiculous amount of koriander on top 😁 I added a little less than one tablespoon of harissa paste and it was plenty spicy for me..
I didn’t have any harissa sauce so chucked soy sauce in instead. Didn’t have any lemon either but ‘oh wow’ it is amazing… best soup I’ve tasted… ever! (And I’m knocking on a bit!😁)
Amazing soup! ❤️ I highly recommend tasting throughout and “less is more” both when it comes to the harissa sauce and lemon juice! For me the soup was way too spicy so had to to put in a lot of oat milk to spread it out. I also wish i only used half a lemon because it came out a bit too sour for my taste! But otherwise amazing!
