It's a satisfying snack to have when craving something a little sweet! Love that they are fridge/freezer friendly!

My husband is not a big fan of nuts, but he couldn't get enough of these. Such an incredible and easy treat!
Elyse - Nov. 17, 2024, 10:06 p.m.
Definitely one of my newest favorite snacks to include in weekend meal prep! Love it! Wondering if you can share some tips on how you get the visual presentation on the top to look so nice? I’ve tried making a few PUL recipes with the ‘swirl’ visual effect , such as Chocolate Tofu Dip or Cookie Dough Dip, but never comes out right! Thanks!
PUL Team - Nov. 17, 2024, 11:56 p.m.
Hiya Elyse, we're so glad you're loving the recipe! For a neat swirl effect, try using the back of a spoon to gently make the melted chocolate pattern into the base after pouring it on top. Also, make sure the mixture underneath is firm before adding the chocolate for a cleaner look. 🫶
Elyse - Dec. 3, 2024, 9:49 p.m.
🙏🙏 thank you! Will give it a try:)
Steve Elliott - Oct. 13, 2024, 3:14 p.m.
I do love trail bars but am not a fan of chocolate ones as they are normally too sweet for me, however, one thing I have learnt whilst exploring your recipe database is try everything at least once. I must admit these are the best chocolate inclusive ones I've ever had. The sweetness balance is great. Still got the chocolate texture in a trail bar though 🤷♂️.
PUL Team - Oct. 14, 2024, 8:23 p.m.
Awe we're so thrilled to hear this, Steve! Thanks a bunch for taking the time to leave the review and love 🥰
Elia - July 1, 2024, 9:06 p.m.
Easy to make, healthy and yummy. You can add the nuts you prefer.
Tania - April 13, 2024, 7:28 p.m.
Delicious and so easy and quick to make!
Kendall - March 21, 2024, 10:54 p.m.
Very yummy and simple to make. I didn’t have almonds so I substituted walnuts and hazelnuts. It is important to remember how many calories each bar has. It was easy to eat more than one bar.
Terhi Stratton - March 18, 2024, 11:22 p.m.
These bars are soo yummy! I wasn't sure how they would hold together with basically just nuts in the crust, but they are perfect. I will definitely make them again. Thank you so much! ❤️
And thank you for this wonderful app. I signed up a couple of days ago and have spent the last two days just scrolling through the recipes, bookmarking most of them 😄 because they all look and sound so good and I want to try them all! I can't believe all the work you guys have put into this app to make it this awesome. Thank you so much!🥰
PUL Team - March 20, 2024, 9:59 p.m.
Hi, Terhi, we're thrilled you enjoyed the bars! It's wonderful to hear they turned out perfectly for you. Thank you for your kind words about the app as well 🥹 we're delighted you're finding it helpful and enjoyable. Happy cooking, and we hope you continue to discover and love the recipes!🌟
Nina - March 15, 2024, 8:07 p.m.
I absolutely love the PUL App and try new recipes almost every day. Today I made these Bars and they were so easy, fast and most importantly utterly delicious. I had to restrain my fiancée from eating them all at once. Side Note for everyone who wants to go easy on the sugar: I swapped the maple syrup for an equal amount of apple sauce and it worked great!
Dear Sadia and Team, thank you so much for all your hard work, I appreciate it every single time I use this App or watch one of your Videos. Love from Austria
PUL Team - March 15, 2024, 9:43 p.m.
Oh, Nina, we're smiling from ear to ear ☺️ Glad that the Chocolate Chip Trail Bars were enjoyed. Thanks for taking the time to share your love and light as well. We're excited to continue this adventure together 🤩
Lisa - March 1, 2024, 7:12 p.m.
I love all your recipes. At the moment I make a of your eergybars/balls. I need them evry day with my baby at home :-) One question: why do I have to roast the nuts? Can I jump over this step or is it important? Greetings Lisa
PUL Team - March 2, 2024, 4:20 a.m.
Awe we're so glad you're enjoying the energy balls, Lisa, and sending lots of love to your little one! The nuts don't need to be roasted perse, but we do find it makes the bars taste better if they are. If you'd like to speed this up, you can consider buying pre-roasted nuts instead of raw ones. I hope this helps 😊
Louise Magnusson - Feb. 4, 2024, 7:25 p.m.
Absolutely amazing for an adequate afternoon snack, and the two ways of adding chocolate are enjoyable. I decorated my bars with sea salt flakes that balances the sweetness from the maple syrup, but I have seen some twists in the comment section below that I would love to try
PUL Team - Feb. 4, 2024, 8 p.m.
Mmm love to hear your experience with the bars, Louise, thank you! We hope you enjoy the other twists too 🤗
Kristina Clark - Jan. 22, 2024, 5:56 p.m.
These are so good! I was surprised at how well the bars hold together. They did not crumble in my hand at all. I added orange zest and put these in an 8x8 pan. Delicious and will definitely make again and again!
PUL Team - Jan. 23, 2024, 5:21 a.m.
Woohoo! So happy that the bars were enjoyed, Kristina, thank you 🙂
Mairi - Jan. 12, 2024, 5:04 a.m.
These have become a staple in our household, they're sooo good! I've played around with different nut butters, even used tahini once, and they turned out delicious every time. They are on the expensive side to make but they're also so much more filling and give sustainable energy compared to other granola bars.
PUL Team - Jan. 12, 2024, 8:51 p.m.
Thanks a bunch for taking the time to share the lovely review with us, Mairi! We're so happy that the Chocolate Chip Trail Bars are being enjoyed 🤗

Linda Fe - Dec. 17, 2023, 11:05 p.m.
Delicious for an afternoon snack or a morning treat! Comes together very quickly!
Japsowin Kaur - Dec. 7, 2023, 6:33 a.m.
Can we substitute the maple syrup with dates?
PUL Team - Dec. 8, 2023, 9:53 p.m.
Hey there, Japsowin, we haven't tested it out but imagine the recipe would need some adjusting. Dates a much sticker and give more bulk than syrup. Perhaps you start with date paste and adjust to taste and texture as needed: https://www.pickuplimes.com/r… 😊
Abigail - Oct. 10, 2023, 9:25 p.m.
Very good and easy! My husband is having trouble sharing 😂
PUL Team - Oct. 11, 2023, 8:59 p.m.
So glad the bars are being enjoyed, Abigail! Sharing is caring 😜
Yashica Khurana - Aug. 27, 2023, 5:04 p.m.
Can we replace hemp seeds with sesame seeds. Please confirm. Thanks
PUL Team - Aug. 31, 2023, 2:16 a.m.
Hey Yashica, we imagine you could! There just might be a slight flavour difference because sesame seeds have a more delicate and nutty taste 🙂
Margaret - Aug. 21, 2023, 3:20 p.m.
Super easy to make and delicious!
Margaret Black - Nov. 23, 2024, 12:56 p.m.
My family and friends go crazy for these. It’s a highly requested dessert. 😋
Andy - Aug. 13, 2023, 8:33 p.m.
Very easy, great detailed app with clever tips of groceries shopping & timers… 👍🏻
Jess - July 20, 2023, 8:56 p.m.
I haven’t try them yet cause I wonder if hemp seeds are ok for the thyroid, does someone know ?
PUL Team - July 25, 2023, 12:59 a.m.
Hey Jess, our understanding is they are - espeically when consumed in moderation. In fact, hemp seeds are a lovely source of beneficial fats (like omega-3), fibre, vitamins and minerals. If you're concerned about goitrogens or other factors though, you can always check in with a professional such as a dietitian 😊
Emily - July 13, 2023, 5:56 p.m.
Yum! My kids and I enjoyed this as a dessert last night. I’ll have them make it with me in the future since the recipe is super fast and easy.

These bars come together very quickly and make a great snack or dessert. Everyone loved them and I’ll definitely be making again. Roasting the nuts also really elevated the recipe.

Whoop whoop! Thank you, Collrane 😃
