Addicting 🤤 and so easy to make! It’s a large batch if you make them smaller.

Red bean paste. Is that the adzuki beans that are used in Mochi? Thanks

Hi! Yes, sweetened red bean paste is also known as anko or adzuki red bean paste. It's indeed the same beans typically used in mochi and other Asian desserts 😊

Redbean paste has officially now been added as a staple item to my pantry. Yum !

Yayy it's a fun ingredient to have on hand! Happy cooking, Richa 😊

Cláudia - June 17, 2024, 6:09 p.m.

Could I make this using plain red beans and use another sweetener, like agave?

PUL small logo PUL Team - June 19, 2024, 8:12 p.m.

Hi Cláudia, we haven't tried but imagine you could with some adjusting. You could experiment with cooked beans that are well mashed or blended, and adjust the agave to taste. The red bean paste is fairly thick, so you may need to add some extra shredded coconut or oats 😊

You can eat oats raw?

PUL small logo PUL Team - April 17, 2024, 1:56 a.m.

Hey Pp, yes oats can be eaten raw, especially in recipes like overnight oats, smoothies, or energy balls where they soften. Some people prefer to cook oats to make them easier to digest though 😊

Cristina Kisded - April 12, 2024, 2:29 p.m.

Hello, how do i make the red bean sweetened pasta? Thanks a lot, i can wait to try this recipe :)

PUL small logo PUL Team - April 13, 2024, 4:17 a.m.

Hi Cristina, we actually haven't tried making the paste before! We get ours ready-made from our local Asian supermarket. Perhaps one day we can share a recipe for red bean paste though 🤗

These are great! Not too sweet :)

Anita - March 15, 2024, 12:20 p.m.

I like the texture of them, they were really easy to form.
I bought red bean paste for the first time just to try these but I find them too sweet for my taste.

alisa - March 6, 2024, 12:42 a.m.

These were fairly easy to make, good protein snack! The did come out a bit dry, so I would slightly decrease the amount of shredded coconut and oats.
