Flavourful, creamy and comforting. A great winter dish. I used soy cooking cream as I like the sauce to be thicker, I had to add extra water though as the pasta wouldn’t cook.
The guests loved it and will definitely make again!

I made this using your tempeh mince recipe instead of "beef" shreds. It may not be authentic but it's definitely the kind of dish that would make people's jaw drop when they heard it's not made with meat.

Is 75 g of pasta for 3 servings correct? It doesn’t seem enough to be a substantial meal

Hey Lieke, thanks for the question! The recipe makes 3 moderate servings or 2 larger ones. The amount listed is for dry pasta which expands in size when cooked. The volume of the cooked pasta is closer to 2 cups or 200 grams. We personally find this dish filling with the combination of pasta, mock meat, and mushrooms, but feel free to enjoy more than what we've suggested for a serving if you still feel hungry 🤗

This recipe was a revelation. I made it on a night when plans for a different main dish fell through due to a fridge management failure (I.e. one key ingredient missing!), so I was tight for time. This dish is super easy to make and absolutely scrumptious. Definitely a five star rating!
